Not just up north. I know I always enjoyed watching the captain of the Canadian women's team deliver the rock in the last Olympics. ;)

It was surprisingly addictive. My wife thought I was losing my mind.

The day I watch curling more than 30 seconds will be the day I know I have lost my mind. :D

As for a channel for it...ranked maybe #515 on a list of the top 500 potential new HD channels...

My friends and family thought I was nuts, too. Until some of them watched some....

I think you have basket weaving confused with chair stacking. :)

Curling rocks! I'd love it if they showed more of it on the sports channels.

I stopped watching Travel Channel due to all the food. Scripts should meld Travel Channel with the Food Channel.

All I know is that making it HD won't make curling any more than one of the world's most boring "sports".

Let's see a few more of the pending top-requested new national HD channels, and then we can perhaps look at wasting the bandwidth on nonsense after that... :D:lol:

It was wonderful in HD. Much better than in SD.

There is a beauty to white ice.

Why is it boring? Because it doesn't include crashes or hitting? Or because it is a brain sport that requires thought and geometry?

To me, the X Games are boring.

Boring TV is boring TV...HD or otherwise - why?...because if curling on TV was moving along any slower in action...they'd be going backwards. :D

Too bad those are all travel shows primarily. The focus is always on travel.

Curling is perhaps the most boring olympic sport ever conceived (or at least that I can think of off the top of my head). 1 person pushes the weight, the other 2 sweep feverishly. If you have never heard of curling, and you happen to put it on for the 1st time your like "WTF is THIS?!?" lol. I understand where the poster that said its thought provoking and strategical and thats why he likes it is coming from though. But not all strategical, thought provoking games are exciting to watch on TV. Imagine watching a chess tournament on TV? Ugh.

And just because a sport has a lot of action doesnt mean it isnt strategy based. Football is by far the no. 1 sport in America and is the best of both worlds. What is better than watching 2 brilliant coaches match wits on a Sunday? A great defensive mind like Dick Lebeau vs. a great offensive mind like Sean Payton. Give me that over Curling any day.
