I didn't realize until after I posted that picture that the CBS logo is incorrect. It should be a CBS HD logo.

What kind of logo does the website give you?

HD logo is next to the one here, but the station is still SD only.

    Sherman...
If I pick "all channels" in the online guide and see both the HD and SD versions of my CW affiliate, they both have the "CW HD" logo. ABC, NBC, and Fox all have different logos for the HD and SD channels. CBS just has the regular CBS logo (not "CBS HD") for both.

    Yep!

I realized The CW DNS channels have HD logos too...

It's a mistake on the DirecTV website folks part.

I live here in St. George, Utah. No HD local programming. I remember DTV's web site had a link of upcoming cities to received Local HD. I can't fine it anymore. We have a market of about 200,000. I would think that's enough to consider HD locals. Can someone explain the difficulties of proving the service to us?

    Here's the link: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/hd/hd_locals

St. George is part of the Salt Lake City DMA which DIRECTV carries in HD. The problem is you are on the very fringes of the HD spotbeam. That's why they don't offer it in your area.

Here's what the spotbeam looks like: http://www.imagebam.com/image/d8000c216334814

This is something that it appears may be fixed with d14. It seems like d14 has a few spot beams of larger footprints to cover full areas like the salt lake DMA where as today's spot beams don't. Hopefully in a couple years we will know for sure.

Anyone know when D* plans to add the CW HD for the Tallahassee market? I recently found out that comcast now carries it locally here in HD. Thanks!

WTLF-HD has been in testing for months now, but has yet to be offered to subscribers.

I expected it prior to the start of the Fall season on October 2nd, but it didn't happen. At this time, your guess is as good as mine...

WSBK and WMFP(62). Does anybody have any info on at least WSBK HD lighting up? It used to be one of the most influential channels in the market. However it is still a CBS duopoly with WBZ.

Thanks. I heard they could provide HD but it would create too many complaints. In fact, a buddy down the street was able to receive local HD. Couldn't figure that one out. Thanks again.
