WSST was originally in test on tp 3. It has since moved to 5 with the others (I apparently missed that somewhere in my updates).

I'm not sure why you would be getting 0s on 3, but that's extremely interesting.

I take back part of what I said... Apparently there was cloud cover or something, as I'm now getting 38/40/41 on my three DVRs for TPN #3... which if WSST moved to TPN #5 is not that odd.

However... the fact that TPN #5 is still showing 0s on all three DVRs is!

A month or so back, I started getting a mid to upper 90s signal strength on 99(s) TPN #4, and I assumed that's what the Albany, GA locals would be on...

~Alan<~~~~~~~~~~Who's REALLY getting tired of the issues with WCWJ and WJXX....

Something is peculiar about Albany GA LIL.

They still show in NET 11 and NET 15 , generally CONUS designated listings.

They are the ONLY market with LIL's listed this way. (Markets with DNS channels which are CONUS are listed this way ,so i don't count as unusual.)

Even yesterday's activation of Monroe, LA. MKT 129 , NET 640 shows up as the traditional LIL bin file and removal of the NET 11 DNS CONUS channels.

If you really want to find out the Sat and TPN, send me a PM and i can discuss a project which will answer the question and help understand this whole LIL reporting that is a bit confusing since D-12 activation.

A quick help would be to post ANY 99s and 103s TPN that you have a signal strenght approaching 90 or probably above. In general your LIL TPN should be one of or the highest 99s/103s TPN your receiving.

When you do the transponder check, this link (http://home.comcast.net/~directvlocals/#transponder) might come in handy. It could help eliminate neighboring markets whose spotbeam also covers your area.

I also still want to know about the remapped CW mystery. There's still no trace of the temporary DNS CWs or even the new one for Joplin.

    I already checked them.

As I was telling Doctor j in a PM, my signal on 99(s) TPN #4 went from 0 to mid 90s just a few days prior to my HD-LIL being uplinked, so I still believe IT is where the Albany, GA HD-LIL is uplinked.

Of course, another mystery (to me), is the deal with WCWJ and WJXX. The channels say "To Be Announced" all the time for the Program Guide Data. One can "flush the Guide cache" and get program guide data for those channels, but 5-10 minutes later, the program guide data goes back to "To Be Announced". PBS was like this as well for the first week, but it eventually got fixed.

doctorj had us covered with most of the updates this week. Only other changes I noticed were a transponder change for the Omaha Fox affiliate and several of the subchannel CWs in test have been given new channel numbers (most of them one number above the main channel number)

    Notes:
    * Asterisks typically denote channels that are currently unavailable.
In some rare cases, stations without an asterisk are also unavailable.
    * Listed cities indicate the DMA city, not necessarily the city of license
    for that particular station
    * Stations in each category are sorted by DMA then channel number.
    The charts have been updated...

Technically, if you do a document comparison of 8/18/ to 8/26, I believe the 2 DNS HD (Fox & NBC) channels for Monroe were "removed"
Uncertain how you are accounting those but I had them as HD LIL's although literally on CONUS NET 11. Still 54 DNS channels listed plus the oddball Albany, GA LIL's (in CONUS NET).

    Great work again!!

I'm listing the DNS channels on the charts, but since I haven't been including them in the previous updates, I've been leaving them alone. However, they are relevant so I may start including them in future updates.

Does anyone know when dtv is going to expand the SLC-HD Locals footprint in Utah? It is 35th DMA. if you live outside of SLC, you are only able to get SLC locals in SD.

Beaver, UT 84713 No HD Local
St George, UT 84770 No HD Local
Elko, NV 89801 No HD Local
Ely, NV 89301 No HD Local

It is hurts to watch KSL5 in SD

thanks in advance for any info.

They're scheduled to be added next month in HD. An exact date is not known at this time.

In the mean time, you can go ahead and add locals and receive the New York feeds of Fox and NBC. HD capable equipment is required, and this will also be the case when the actual Amarillo channels are added.

    (Edit: thelucky1 beat me!)
