Edited Link:DirecTV MLB
thanks for letting us know
I'm moving this to the Programming forum.
That link does not take me to MLB information.
Well, it's NOT free at my house. All the channels are telling me to shove off because I'm not a subscriber.
Got the message via ths system last week. Definitely checkling it out.
I don't get them either. Channel not purchased (721)
On the game mix channel I cannot switch audio. When I turn on the mix channel it says to use the arrow keys to select with game audio you get. All that happens for me is the arrow buttons do the same function they normally do.
Ya this has been a problem all day on the HD channel, they've had various issues all day actually. Hopefully they fix it soon.
In the mean time if you choose YELLOW > Audio Options you can actually pick the different audio feeds that way if you'd like.
me too, me dux and me dos!
There's only 1 game on right now and it's on 209, ESPN 2.
All free at my house, all day long. And I very much enjoyed it
Not worth paying for though, IMO. Between my local RSN, TBS, the ESPN's, FOX, and MLB Net I get plenty of baseball. Glad I live in my home teams market or I would have to pay up! Go Tigers!
The guide showed the Tigers/Royals game, but apparently it was already over.
Obviously MLBEI is not meant for those of you who root for your home team. It is meant for those of us who root for out of market teams. Consider yourself lucky the home team is your fav team.
Extremely obvious, yes. Thats why I referred to the fact that Id be paying up if I didn't live in my home teams market. Thanks for reiterating the obviousness though.
How much more will it be after this week and are there any special discounts like many of us have gotten for NFLST? I did get NHL Center Ice for FREE this year and paid for NBA league pass.
I hope they plan on doing a better job of organizing the games in the guide. Last year seemed nearly flawless that the games were listed in chronological order. Tomorrow's games are a mess.
MLB.TV was terrible today. Not only did they drop the ball with ROKU, their servers could not keep up with demand. Constant stuttering and dropping. It also would take over a minute for the system to verify your location on an iPhone before starting up.
At the end of the day, I loved day 1. Especially the part about the Dodgers losing and the Giants winning. Magic number - 161
Yeah, yesterday was a bit of a mess. I don't need any notices, I've come to take it for granted that MLB EI and the Mix Channel are free the first week of the season. The problem was, neither was available at first, then it was, then only the SD version of MIX and none of the games, then finally the HD version and a few of the games were available. It seems these past few years it's been a case of Russian Roulette as far as blackouts. I can't remember the last time ESPN opening day games were NOT blacked out. All of yesterday were and none were in my market except Cubs-Braves.
And today, every archived game is saying I am within one of the teams' geographic blackout range so I can't watch it. Nevermind that that is obviously wrong but also that archived games are supposed to be available to all 90 minutes after the game.
One cool thing on the iPhone app, though. They added a popup box for control, stats, getting scores and changing games while watching a game. You used to have to exit the video for that.
Isn't the point of a free trial entice us to purchase MLB EI. The problems that I've had (and that I see others have had) certainly don't make me want to pay $200 for this.
