and since D* is gaining subscribers each quarter, must be more winners than losers, huh?

And since the cost to have D* is pretty nearly the same as almost all other sat/cable providers for very similar installations, D* must not be overcharging. After the initial rebates, of course.

This is the POSITIVE thread. How about you party poopers go back over to one of the 2 complaining threads Debell started?

It's hard to stay positive about DTV with everything they've done recently. :(

I actually thought that there were so many cancellations that it was close to a net LOSS of subs?

It's expected for DTV to add subs during this time of year thanks to Sunday Ticket.

They've added subs every other quarter, too.

Yes, but not as many as 3Q due to Sunday Ticket.

Yes, but you make it sound like ST is the only reason for additions & it's not. They've had positive growth every quarter for something like 36-ish straight quarters when other companies have seen significant losses over the last year or 2.

I have to say it .....can we trust what D* says about this..considering how they handle other areas of their business?

I go by track record on all avenues..D* doesn't have the cleanest one. Not that they are alone in this aspect of dubious practices.

I don't argue that they have added subs net gain but....:sure:

Trust what? Are you suggesting they're falsifying financial reports? That's serious. You're really stretching.

Every company will have their top and bottom 2%. The top 2% will be loyal to a company no matter what. The bottom 2% will hate the company based on events. It's not a big deal to be in the top or bottom 2% and clearly you two are just thrilled to be there. You would have to be to keep talking about it over and over.

You're not going to impact DIRECTV at all. No one is going to not get the service because of your posts. The other topics you try to be all negative in come right back by DIRECTV validating everything that people have said they should do. Soon people who actually would help you will put you on ignore and then all you have left are mods and people who think it's funny that you would spend so much time complaining about something.

Now I know DIRECTV just broke up with you two and it's a normal grieving behavior to complain about the things that you weren't happy with but at some point you just have to move on. I understand that you're in step 3 the anger and bantering and DD is in step 4 which is depression, reflection, and lonliness (which is why he keeps following you around) but soon you'll both start the 5th step which is the upswing and things will get better. Just hang in there and realize that you will find happiness again.

Honestly...I hope not, because it's depressing to think about all the unscrupulous business activities today. I get no pleasure from thinking it.

I'm no financial expert, but I'm pretty sure falsifying financial reports results in SERIOUS legal penalties and not like a few million dollar fine. The SEC doesn't fudge around.

Considering the lack of oversight the SEC has been sighted for , I'm not too sure of that.
