    I came across the test channels and noticed that some of them say Correct HD Dish Setup while others don't. I don't have a problem receiving any of my channels, but I was wondering if I had two of the 4 cables plugged into my SWM16 reversed from the LNB because of the indications. Or are channels 9501. 9502, 9513, & 9514 just display something different. Below are what the channels display with the four channels I have questions about bolded.

    9501 SAT A (101) Odd Txp 13V
    9502 SAT A (101) Even Txp 18V
    9503 Correct HD Dish Setup. 99 B-Band Odd
    9504 Correct HD Dish Setup. 99 B-Band Even
    9505 Correct HD Dish Setup. 103 A-Band Odd
    9506 Correct HD Dish Setup. 103 A-Band Even
    9507 Correct HD Dish Setup. 103 B-Band Odd
    9508 Correct HD Dish Setup. 103 B-Band Even
    9513 SAT A (119) Odd Txp 13V
    9514 SAT A (119) Even Txp 18V

    These channels are used by customer service and technicians to diagnose problems.

    The inputs on the SWM16 have no "order" your set up is OK. 9501, 9502, 9513, 9515 are non HD satellites.

    Of note;

    9513 and 9514 from 119 should read as "SAT B."

    I thought that was the case, but wanted to check anyway.

    Yeah, a typo on my part. They are both SAT B

    Yep;

    Small 1-2 kbps data streams on CONUS transponders at each of the satellite positions and bands including ch. 9503 for 95w (appears in the list when the 95w World Direct dish option is selected in the receiver setup).

    Therefore you will notice no test channels for 99 A Band ODD/EVEN since there are no CONUS transponders there.

    At least "yet," until D14 is launched. :)

    Since there is no HD programming coming out of the 101 and 119 slots the 'Correct HD Dish Setup' message would be misleading and inappropriate. You can get 9501/9502 on the old 18" pizza pans and 9513/9514 on an old phase III.

    It wouldn't be right and in fact it would be misleading if you tuned in to those channels on old SD equipment and received a message indicating that you had the Correct HD Dish Setup.

    From 101, that's true, but there are actually two Spanish HD channels on 119.

    I recall, it was a time when some HD channels was on 101W - ask Gary to check his historical data.

    From what I can remember, not since early days of 1280 x 1080 MPEG-2 HD lite, where I think a couple of network stations of the big four out of N.Y. and L.A. were placed on the 101 slot.

    Never any MPEG-4 HD ones on 101 however IIRC. .

    could be MPEG-2 HD channels that time ...

    what would be good proof of capables do anything what DTV want with 101 tpns, like switch to DVB-S2 modulation (as they did for one 119W's tpn) or taking huge chunk of bandwidth for MPEG-2 HD channels
