    Don't have the version or date for mine at hand. But it is a ATI chipset on an ASUS video card. Brand new....a few weeks old. I do have the latest driver....just no info right now.

    Just watched The Ultimate Trailer Show (HDNet) from my HR21 (WGA600N) and no issues. I'll try digging up my specs to see if it'll help you guys troubleshoot.

    Edit: This came from dxdiag:

    Well now I don't need to dust off my other two systems to check [they're both nVidia].
    Since ATI is still a fairly major player, maybe it's time to look into why this doesn't work with the newer drivers.

    The last few months of new drivers have had the advisor fail for driver & HDCP:

    Graphics Card : ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series Yes
    __dwItemID=1301__ : Adapter Compatibility: ATI Technologies Inc.
    __dwItemID=1302__ : VideoProcessor: ATI Radeon Graphics Processor AGP (0x9596)
    Graphics card video memory : 512 MB
    Graphics Card Driver : 8.541.0.0 No
    __dwItemID=1501__ : 2D Driver=7.01.01.830
    __dwItemID=1502__ : COPP=No
    __dwItemID=1503__ : RGBOverlay=Yes
    __dwItemID=1504__ : DEVICE=N/A
    HDCP-compliant Display : No

    But this hasn't been a problem [until now] and I've been able to playback everything.

    With earlier drivers, the advisor did pass everything.

    I'm going to do some more PC upgrades here over the next few weeks, so that I can properly run DirecTV2PC.

    So far, it seems to run reasonably well....but the video hestitations are frustrating, so I hope to be able to do a better job on my end testing.

    I truly have not experienced choppiness with this past release. In releases a while back I had issues, but that was outside of this closed session.

    I will be getting me a know home built PC too over the break. I'm looking at an i7 with an nVIDIA 280 and a 24" monitor, and a 10k RPM 300 GB drive, 12 GB o'RAM...

    For the ones of us who are getting this
    Directv2pc cannot play the video content on your output device, because it can not
    apply hardware protection mechanism. Try updating you driver or reselect the video content

    I went back and installed 4724 and everthing played just fine. When i reinstalled 4809 got the error back. Now if you still have any of the 1080p test movies try them. I tryed the Bucket list and it played back with no problems also had The Andromed Strain still and it played back with no problems.

    Just got word that support is being considered for dual monitors in a future update .. Don't know if we'll make it that far or not, but I can say that DIRECTV is listening and there is hope.

    I haven't paid all that much attention to the video card/driver issues.
    Haven't personally had these problems, both my laptop and desktop are relatively new and have good cards in them.

    Are we having more problems with one brand of card vs another?
    Is there anything known for sure?
