Disconnection Question

    When you call to disconnect and you finally make it through the offers to stay and all that, what info do they ask you for/confirm the cancelation? After you've gotten to that point you are already "logged in" so to speak with a phone# and maybe an account #. Do they confirm DL#, ss# or what to know that this is the person calling? Just curious.

    Just a phone number is fine to verify your account.

    Having just done this a month ago, they verify your identity before you ever tell them why you are calling, so by the time they get through the retention offers, if any, they just confirm the disconnect date and the address to send the recovery kits (if any).
