We posted at the same time. Within moments of each other and the duplication has been removed. As far as why we 'didn't believe you' - all you seemed to have was a rumor.

Normally channels are tested before they are given to customers. CSTV 'tested' for nearly a year. Uplinked and turned on within a day is not common.

    Anyways - another AT180 channel.

why is it on channel 148 when Dish uses 147 and 148 for ESPN3 and ESPN4 for special events like the Women's College Basketball NCAA playoffs. Can't think of what else.

    From the E* press blurb:

"'We have recently increased our emphasis on sports programming for DISH Network customers' said Eric Sahl, senior vice president of Programming for DISH Network."

    Just "recently", Eric?

No wonder D* has been the DBS sports programming leader like forever.

Other than the NFL package and YES, what has D* got that E* doesn't?

D* overpaid for the NFL (as the Sunday Ticket folks will agree based on what they have to pay for the HD Sunday Ticket pkg. now). I still don't understand how the MLB guys let him offer Extra Innings without a YES deal in place, but I'm surprised YES hasn't met halfway and cut a deal by now.....

March Mega Madness is another thing the D* has thet E* does not. I am sure it is a D* exclusive. IMO the NCAA is crazy for not opening it up to all. It would make more money than whatever premium D* pays them for exclusive rights.
