Someone has to replace Bob Holler since he went to the D*arkside.
WEll, in a sense, where there's smoke there's fire.
Great link gpflepsen! Charlie wants to hurt cable tv and direct tv.I tried to suggest him if he wants to steal more customers from cable and direct tv. Get
NFL Channel And NFL SUNDAY TICKET.He should negotiate with the NFL so he can get a loophole around exclusive rights from direct tv.He should create something like this."Your NFL team channel" that means customers on dish can get only 1 game per sunday on your favorite NFL Team for only $99.95 You cannot have your home team on this package. That would be my loophole around NFL SUNDAY TICKET package.
You don't give up do ya' Stevie? I don't think it's going to happen but I have to admire your spunk.
Gee........I wonder who he's talking about (good one Darkman). I seems to me that both Steveox and Kwjar have toooooooo much time on their hands.
Their keyboards apparently got so much use, the Shift and Punctuation keys broke.
I've had excellent luck with Tech Support, even for billing and programming issues. I always choose Tech Support from the phone menu for that reason. The exec email support is quite responsive, too.
However, I have found the standard CSR's to be absolutely terrible. Disconnections. Being put on hold for unacceptable periods of time. Different answers each time. They really need some reorg in that dept.
No,You dont get it.You realize just how popular the NFL is? Pro football is the most popular sport in america. Its also the most expensive to watch. If any of you ever been to an NFL game you realize it cost you around $70 a game to watch.Along with your ticket and parking with a beer in your hand. Some teams sellout for the entire season like my baltimore ravens do.I live in south florida and i hate the bucs and the dolphins i want down to pro player stadium to watch the ravens vs dolphins last year it cost me $70!total This sport is very popular. So if charlie lure those direct tv customers away he get the NFL.
Actually, NASCAR is the most popular "sport" in America. A day at the races can cost a few spendolas too.
Steveox, I didn't leave E* for the NFL or any other programming that D* has, I left due to their 'high end' hardware having WAY more problems then comparable hardware from E*, plus you have a better chance of getting it. How many months did people have to wait for 811's, no problem getting D* HD boxes. I had a DirecTivo HD box within a month 1/2 of deciding I wanted one, folks have said they're waiting over a year for one.
As for E* customer service, if you try to have any type of a conversation with the first tier CSR concerning HD, especially OTA HD via a 6000 or 811 you'll soon change your opinion. If you can get past them to advanced support you're OK but I don't like wasting 15 to 20 minutes doing switch tests and such for an OTA ATSC problem.
Steveo has a thread over in the sports section whining about how he cant score press passes to get on the field for free. This guy just wants to get anything he can for free or next to zero. Just wait till his new sub deals with E* run out then youll hear him bitching.
What the difference between Steveox and a canoe.....the canoe tips
ye sthe avrg nascar race has more attendance tahn any other sport including the superbowl
Did i ask for press passes for free? No! I said id would pay for them.Like i intend to contact a high school coach and offer him money if he`ll let me on the field watch the game. But i also want to see just one NFL game on the field.
On Monday the hard drive in my 510 died.
The CSR (Nicole operator ID OPD) said she would write it up as a hard drive problem and my new 510 would be shipped UPS 2 day.
Today was day 2 and I received a model 4900 receiver via UPS.
Called DISH again and have to wait another 2 days.
The first CSRs I can remember dealing with were Cox Cable back in '82.
I've dealt with many since and from many different industries.
Comcrap's always seemed to be the worst.
I never would have expected a DISH CSR to screw it up. I've had nothing but good till now. Then again Nicole, operator ID OPD, was never my CSR before.
Was she a transfer from Comcast's CSR Dept/Div...?
It could have been screwed up anywhere in the chain. It wasn't necessary her fault.
The first time I had Dish ship a replacement for a 501 I had they shipped it to the wrong address even though I called and called to verify that it would be shipped to the right one. Finally when they did ship to the right address they shipped me a remanufactured 301. That really made me mad. I had to refuse the 301 and go through the whole ordeal again.
