I looking to get info on the new dish network sat if possible.
I'm getting dish tommorrow as I had a problem with directv and the 103 sat(tree).
The 99 and 101 are great but 103 is weak.
I'm told dish network uses a new direction and elevation for HD.

I guess the question is how much higher is the new bird from N.C. then the 103.
I have the older ipod itouch 3 gen so the apps won't work from what I'm seeing.

Thanks again for all the help.

Actually Dish Networks Eastern Arc is higher in the sky for most of NC than DirecTV's especially in eastern NC.

Far east NC is about 75 deg lon, far west NC is about 85, so especilaly in eastern NC some of the sats are almost due south, 61.5 10 -15 degrees east, whereas DirecTV's satellites are more like 20 degrees west, plus or minus.
