Just curious as I am going to start cleaning out my attic and start getting rid of a bunch of stuff. Have a bunch of old receivers, DVR's etc. Worth it to sell on ebay or Craigslist?

Have several old Tivo sd-dvrs, R15's, HR10-250 etc.

You can still get some cash for that. Some of that won't work in full depending on what it is, but right now if you google your models you'll see what they go for on ebay.

I sold my HR10-250 for $50 a few years ago to someone who wanted it for the OTA tuner capability.

I sold a 20-700 a couple weeks ago to a member. Guess he wanted it for OTA.

Hardly worth the bother on eBay. By the time you get thru the eBay and PP charges you won't make much. I listed some SD DVRs and got no bites a while ago.

DirecTV will be turning off the old guide data for some of the older legacy receivers. After that, the old MPG will not work, and the newer APG guide receivers will be required. From what I hear, if the receiver can't get the channels in the guide the channels can't be watched. You probably wouldn't want to buy one of those receivers, since DirecTV might not replace it for free.
The turn-off date may vary from one region to another, but it's coming soon. I have a list of the soon-to-be obsolete receivers; mostly older Hughes and earlier receivers.

I sold three HR10-250s on eBay in the last two weeks. Got $45, $36, and $10. The one for $10 had a bad HDMI board. Been sitting in the closet for about four years. Should have sold them back then, but laziness and procrastination win out a lot of the time.

It was an H20-100. And I asked for $50, but Directv made me send back the card and the guy would have to buy a new one, so I let it go for $30.00. It was either that or keep having to dust it every week. Plus he was the only one who responded to the ad.
