According to Sci-Fi Channel, Doctor Who did well its first night in broadcast.

1.58 million viewers tuned in to watch "Rose,"
1.61 million viewers watching "The End of the World".
With 0.78 million viewers each watching "Rose" and "The End of the World" in their 11pm and 12am repeat slots.

    Is that correct?

That doesn't seem reasonable somehow... that 1.58 million and 1.61 million (presumably lots of overlap) watching the first showing... then 78 million for the repeat showing that same night?

How did the other 77+ million find out to watch so fast after the 2nd episode ended?

Is sci-fi channel even actually available in 78 million households?

I thought the most recent episode from this past Friday was the best one so far.

My Tivo doesn't seem to like the Doc, I have a season pass, no conflicts, yet it won't record it unless I force it to. Forgot to check Friday, but thankfully they repeat.

Well the BBC Showed the first episode, and before the second episode could be shown the BBC had bought Season 2+3 and 2 Christmas Specials, just on the first episodes ratings alone.

See [thread=54297]this thread[/thread]. The TiVo guide is using the UK air dates, so you have to set the season pass the "Repeats and First Run".
