I didn't see anyone mention it, but it seems odd to me that they put it on channel 354. That's right in the middle of the block of news stations.

Our 7 month old little dog loves Dog TV. She will sit and bark at the TV especially when a human throws a ball. I have the Premier package and wonder if it will be included.

They see things on modern HDTV's better than SD sets. They see the flicker in a tube set. But a dog generally can see something at 20 feet that we can at 90.

No, you will have to pay $5 a month to subscribe to it no matter what package you have.

Or maybe it will go the way of Baby TV and eventually get included. How long did that take? I can't recall.

If my home is any example, dogs don't like these programs at all. My dog (and his little cousin who was visiting with us for a couple of weeks) give this channel a big quadruple paws down! They don't even hate it, they ignore it. I have turned on relaxation and every other sort of programming and I got more reaction from MLS. They kind of like that little white ball but could care less about this programming.

I tuned to it for a few minutes and my cat did perk his ears up and some of the audio, but that was about it. Don't have a dog anymore to try it on, but I wouldn't subscribe.

I put it on for about 30 minutes yesterday. My wife started howling so I turned it off. (We don't have a dog.)

I see where DogTV is available as a Roku channel. But $9.99 per month.

So once again, DirecTV is providing us with an incredible deal!

I ended up with three HDDVRs hooked up to four TV sets. One SD and three HD. The Living room was for someone that didn't like HD *(She who must be obeyed). When I had to put a TV in her bedroom, Wall mount it had to be HD. So the Living Room DVR feeds to TV sets and the other two are only hooked up to HD Tvs (Plus one Capture Device). It works for us.

I suspect that You are underestimating Dog Lovers and what they will spend. Plus the Inertia factor. It gets added and forgotten for removal.

It is horrible for people. Do Your dogs like it is the real question.

Not really. Some animals suffer separation anxiety when separated from their owners for long periods of time. Programing on DOGTV is designed to prevent that.

Tried this channel and my Army of Barkness ignored it completely. However the relaxation programming on Friday night had my wife alseep in no time

I could see where a dog that was the sole dog in a home could use this though. They are pack animals and really are not comfortable when completely alone. Now if they did the Encore thing and had Action Dog, Western Dog, and Dog Food channels. . .

As it is my Berner/Rough Collie mix loves action TV. During the fights, and chases she leaps up and down and barks at the TV.

Don "the Army of Bakness rates this forgettable" Bolton
