How are you charged if you have DVR Advantage but then have two DVR receivers? Does the $5.00 cover both of them or is the 2nd one an additional $5.98?

I found the answer--$12 for HD DVRs and $10 for non-HD DVRs so its basically $5.00 for DVR plus the additional receiver fee.

The program was altered, I think back at the same time as the general rate increase. It's now as Link stated.

I remember when Dish first started having DVR receivers with the 501 and the 722 and had no charge for DVR service. Now it seems like they try to get as much money as possible out of you. I think there should be a maximum DVR fee if a customer has more than two on their account.

    Here's an interesting little tidbit

    I recently upgraded from:

    1. Classic DVR Adv $47.99
    2. 250 Bonus Pack $10.00
    3. Gold HD $10.00
    4. Locals $5.00
    5. 2 HD-DVR's $12.00
    Total $86.99

    to:

    1. AEP w/DVR Adv $102.98
    2. Gold HD $10.00
    3. 2nd Lease Fee $7.00
    Total $119.98

So Dish DOES eliminate all DVR charges for AEP, you just still pay the lease fee.
