Knowing I can't record XM channels, the scheduler allowed me to send a request to record an XM channel. However, after 10 mintues, I went to my list and tried to play it, it wouldn't do anything..as expected. I would think that the scheduler shouldn't even allow you to set the recording. Even my receiver received the request and the light on the front lit up.

I tried again tonight when I got home from work, and directv.com it is working for me now. Very cool!

Tried it once with no problems (recording a show in progress) on my HR20-700. My one complaint is that DirecTV doesn't list OTA channels in their online guide so those of us stuck with one *ahem* stingy local station owner who doesn't let D* carry the HD feed are out of luck.

WOW! I just added two shows and watched the "To Do List" "live" as I added the shows. From the time I pressed the record button to the time it showed up in my To Do List was 7 seconds. Now let's see if both shows record.

BTW-On the D* site I was presented with a choice of both of my receivers: HR20-700 and HR20-100.

I will record to both receivers as a test.

It worked fine with my HR20-100 but why aren't OTA HD channels listed in the guide? I was able to manually record an OTA channel from the mobile website though.

Although it may appear that you are logged in because it says "Welcome JoeBlow" at the top of the screen, log in again anyway and see if that changes the TV Listings to give you the record button.

They need to add SEARCH capability in the TV listings. Otherwise it worked well.

I have dual appearances of locals, e.g., two 4s, 6s, 7s, and 10s. I'm assuming one each OTA and not, but I can't tell which is which or how to eliminate one or the other. Any ideas how if any way to edit the scheduler ? Thanks

    I tried it at DirecTV.com.

It showed both of my HR20's in the drop down menu. It appeared to work, I got the confirmation email, but the show I tried to schedule was not added to the ToDo list of my HR20.

I'm still on 0x1BE. Is 0x1EA required for this new feature to work?

    Thanks.

This is nice. Great to record something new that you have just heard about from someone when you're not home in front of the TV set. :D

I also have a Verizon LG enV and it does the same thing. I use the same email/password as I use on directv.com but it just comes back to the login page.

I am able to schedule a recording from directv.com listings on my desktop.

Although this isn't in the original list from Earl, it's worth noting that it works from Blackberry 8800 on Cingular/AT&T and a Corporate BES using the basic blackberry browser.

Same thing happened to me. When I logged out and back in, I saw the record button. Not a big deal but interesting.
