It took a while for me to break from that Habit as well.
Me. I've been dragging my feet waiting for locals and it's just not going to happen so I'll have to try and get waivers for NY, probably not succeed, and do this anyways.
If they at least let me get the major networks out of NY so I can watch my shows I'll be satisfied enough but it's really an unnecessarily difficult situation all the way around.
Well, the channels were replaced with info slides this morning.
I see a channel 74 local in the EPG now in addition to the regular 74.
86 ABC New York was black screen this morning. Don't know if that was Technical glitch or what.
I agree that this appears to be the case.
My point was that freeing up space on the "wing" birds isn't going to facilitate adding CONUS HD.
according to the info slide the new location requires a 5 lnb dish not a slim line 3 and the channels do not work with an hr22 hr23 or h23.
What does it actually say? It may say that a SL5 is required, but that's really either outdated, or just covering bases for everyone in the country.
And that's just wrong.
To be clear, that's not true. A Slimline 3 and/or HR22, HR23, or H23 will pick up the MPEG4 channels just fine.
Second part is correct. First is not necessarily so any longer.
Actually, I do need to do something. I still have an operating HR10-250.
My wife really likes Suggestions.
Oh by the way did you know that Analog signals on OTA are going away?
Only if our politicians grow some balls and actually do it.
I agree with the HBO HD offering is a bit weak which is why I dropped it. Starz has most of its channels in HD(518,519,520,521,522)... Encore is part is the package but I thought only one Encore channel is in HD, but D* isn't carrying it yet....
Did you know that the HR10-250 features ATSC OTA tuners and that it has the ability to scan for any and all available digital channels?
That's why I have a zillion of them still active, I get 3 markets where I'm at.
Yours,or the DirecTivos?.:up_to_som::heybaby:
Yes, that is why I have TWO HR10-250s still actively hooked up and running great. It is always good to have Backup in case the Directv DVRs don't work as advertised.
DirecTV has been calling people, that had the old HR10-250's and other MPG2 receivers, about changing them over. Everyone should know by now.
I "lost" all the legacy MPEG-2 HD feeds last month......when I swapped out my SL5 LNB unit for a SL3 LNB unit.
what is the H22 the slide info now refers to?
