I'm starting to wonder if you guys really listend to this.

They are Praising Premiums to no avail!

Listen to the 2011 year end results , I'm over and hour in and no mention about NFL ST covering its own costs

Who said they weren't praising premiums? The point is that the focus of those premiums now happens to be original programming. You've only listened to part of one conference call.

Year end results, I listened to the whole thing.
    And 2012 isn't out yet.

Bottom line is you and your friend were completely wrong about the premiums, and Directvs lack of value toward them.

What ever, I Know premium movie channels and PPV movie were extremely strong last year, they claim highest they ever been in Question and Answer.

So don't tell me EPIX would do poorly cause they aren't flooded with original series that mostly suck.

Bottom Line, I would like to see Epix added to the offering,

Just because a couple unquailified members say EPIX is of no value.
Doesn't make up for the 9.5 million who do find value in it.

Thats 7 million more then find Value in NFL ST
Which I might add has been Directv Exclusive for over 15 years

DirecTV sees no value in adding it. They've declined to do so at least twice now.

Are you seriously "live" blogging a year old conference call?

This thread makes my head hurt. :nono:

Yes, premiums with original programming have done very well. That is the reason why they continue to shift their image more and more towards that type of content.

Millions are forced to find value in it because it's bundled into other premium movie packages. I'm sure there's millions of Premier Package subs who don't find value in Cinemax or every RSN, but the channels are forced into the package.

Exactly, What do you think I've been saying the whole time. Why would adding Epix be any Different then the rest. IT wouldn't!

And my local cable Verizon and Dish all charge a seperate price for Epix, so don't make it seem like its in the base packs, cause its not!

Maybe it's because Epix wants in the lower tiers, thus increasing their sub numbers which means DirecTV has to pay a boatload of money.

Its already been said Epix is an Option for Directv.
    Thats the Viacom agreement!

And again who what and where did Epix say they want their service in the basepacks?

Don't go by what someone spouted off here.

This was the first link I asked for and never got!

Did I say base packages? No. Also, Fios bundles it in it's higher package, which again can be said that not every sub will see as a worthy channel.
