If I do get a 100 and it works properly will I be able to use the eSATA function and add a larger HD? Or will hooking up an eSATA screw up the 100?

Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated before I plug an eSATA in. Anybody out there using a 100 with an eSATA and if so, what make and model eSATA?

Just read your thread and didn't see but a couple of 100s listed and one of them failed using the Seagate eSATA. Sent a PM to one of the other 100 users to see how his is doing. I know the 700 works like a charm with the eSATA.

My -100 worked fine w/ the Seagate until the card reader in the dvr crapped out... I doubt the card reader problem is related to the eSATA use.

    Near San...
I've had a -100 with a Seagate 750 for several months. Works perfectly -- has from day one.... just plugged it in and restarted the HR20 and was good to go.

How long have you had the eSATA hooked up?
