Well, they'd have room on 110 to add if since a 5 LNB setup is needed for the Spanish package.

Is Red Zone Channel available on D* without Sunday Ticket? I haven't seen anywhere on my channel listing, but, of course, the season hasn't started yet. All the cable systems seem to be carrying it and none of them are allowed to have Sunday Ticket.

This would be nice to have. ESPN has rights to a lot of games across various platforms. Plus they can probably air quick highlights off other carriers.

ESPN News has constant highlights & live look-ins all afternoon. I saw the entire end of Ole Miss getting beat by J'Ville St.

Yeah - I've seen ESPNEWS during Saturdays with the look-ins....just not sure if it is a structured red zone channel type approach.

I am a Brighthouse customer so I had access to ESPN Goal Line Sunday. Here are my couple of observations for those of you who may be looking forward to it.

    1. Unless I just missed it, the channel was only available in HD. Brighthouse is horrendous at announcing anything channel related so the only way you even knew the channel was available at all was to read the various news reports online. It may have been on standard def, but I didn't find it so it's possible I guess that it isn't available.

    2. NFL Red Zone Channel it ain't. They were constantly showing a couple minutes of live action and then back in the studio discussing things and showibg highlights for 10. I didn't feel the whip-around effect I feel when I see the Red Zone Channel and feel as if I know everything going on in all the games.

    3. For those wondering, they said when the channel came on that day the coverage runs from 12 noon to 12 midnight every week.

If they only have access to ABC/ESPN broadcasts, that is only a handful at any time. Often just two or three. Seems a waste. Just do a better job with keeping up to date on ESPNews rather than create another channel. Oh, wait, that way they cannot milk the providers for more money.

Pass on this channel until it becomes useful like RZC which covers up to 7 games at once and is an outlet for some to get games they don't get otherwise.

I have tried ESPN Goal Line on TWC...It's nothing great. You get the same from ESPN News, basically.

I don't see a lot of value with this channel. Now if all of college football broadcast rights were similar to the NFL, I could see this channel making sense. But I doubt CBS, FSN and especially NBC will be willing to allow their properties to be a part of this.

Exactly. They only followed games on GP (ESPNs, ABC, SEC N, ACC N).

Honestly I think even with what they have it's underwhelming. They have access to all the espn channels, espn plus, abc, and highlights from other networks. They just don't know how to do the channel well. RZC will show a game until other stuff gets good then switch, once those place settle down they show highlights or other games. The two times I watched ESPN GL they spend half the time talking in studio and not showing anything.

Being that we have both Fios & D*, we would like to see D* offer this channel! We thoroughly enjoy this every college football saturday on Fios, it's the equivalent of the NFL RZC. C'mon D* get with the program and offer this outstanding channel, as this is every NCAA Football fanatic's dream! We're fortunate we have both providers. Sometimes both tuners on our Fios 7232 are busy on Saturday and it would be so nice to have our HR24s backing up this gr8 channel.

It's available on Brighthouse, Time Warner, and Verizon FIOS. I'm watching it through the computer thanks to my FIOS tv sub in the office online right now.

I'm not much of a college fan but I have to say ESPN has learned over the last year. Thus far, it's a marked improvement over what I saw a year ago.
