One of my favorite shows. At the worst there will be one full season of it.

I view a move to Friday on SciFi as a sign of support, as this has traditionally been SciFi's strongest night of programming. Hopefully it will still be a strong night when it's Syfy...as I'm a big fan of Eureka. :)

will they run it with stargate universe later this year?

Is this just Season 3.5 or Season 4?

I think they are calling it 3.5, the bad thing is that originally 3.5 was 13 episodes, now I"m reading it's only coming back for 10 episodes. And who knows when it will start again. Can't understand why SciFi(SyFy by the time Eureka starts) is jerking this series around so much. From my understanding it's one of their best scripted series as far as an audience, I think it's their highest rated series currently.

I just wish it would get back on track, I just can't understand the reasoning behind all these long gaps in programming. It can't be the writer's strike, that was over and settled well before 3.0 started.

I am going to start watching this now. Do I need to save them until I find seasons 1-3? Or can I jump in and understand what is going on?

Season 3 starts tonight, and I'm sure you'll be able to jump right in, but there's certainly a LOT of back story that you won't know that could leave you scratching your head at some of the character relationships or comments. However, it really shouldn't stop you at all, so I say dive in, watch them tonight, but also save the episodes and start catching up on Season 1 and 2 and then return to season 3 to fill in any gaps! Enjoy!

Not to nitpick, but it's actually the start of the second half of Season #3, they're calling it 3.5. Season #3 ran 8 episodes last July thru September, which was supposed to be continued late in 08 or very early 09, but didn't happen for whatever reason.

I think they did show all the Season #3 episodes today, I agree it should be ok to start watching and catch up later, it took a while to grow on me, but I really enjoyed it after the first 2 or 3 episodes(the episodes were just fine, it just took me a while to get familiar with the show and all the characters)

You're right! I even went to IDMB first, and completely misread the info there. I can't believe hat Season 3 Episode 1 premiered in July 2008!!

Luckily they ran all 8 of season 3 shows sometime last night and I picked them up. I will get 1 and 2 when I can, but this should help.
