I missed the real time Canadian Grand Prix today becasue I was under the impression that the go to channel was NBC Sports on 220. They delayed todays race till 830 pm for trucks in St Loluis, so tha's what I thought was available. Turns out they showed it on NBC 4 in real time!!! Does anyone know what the plan is for the future F1 races? This is extremely annoying to me.

In addition to that, if you have them, you might want to watch the pre and post race stuff on UniMas (the former Telefutura) and Univision Deportes 455. Univision's networks show the pre and post race live from the Formula 1 world feed like the top 3 hanging out in the lounge, the national anthems and the presentation of the awards, while NBC goes to commercial and just shows bits and pieces 15 minutes later to fill time between their own in studio highlights.

It's also great to switch to during the race when NBC or NBC Sports goes to commercial since UniMas and Univision Deportes stay with the race. The graphics all come from the world feed, so outside of the Spanish audio you will see the same content.

If you setup a series link based on keywords your dvr will record the race on whichever channle it is on. I use something like:

    AALL FORMULA ONE NNOT PRACTICE

It gives me the race, pre-race, and post-race but none of the practice sessions, you cna mondify it if you choose to watch paractice as well.

Monaco was shown live on NBC two weeks ago so this wasn't the first time.

Fox did the same thing for years. They would show 4 races (I thin that's the correct number) on their local Fox affiliates. Other than that the races were all on Speed. NBC is no different besides what races they have on their locals.

The difference is that the Guide was showing that they were to be broadcast on NBC Sports. I never thought that I needed to look at NBC network to set that up. On Speed they told you when the switch would happen during prior telecast.

The way I know that it's on my local NBC is that there is no race scheduled after the pre-race show that will be on NBC Sports Network.

Why wouldn't the live race be on everyone's local NBC affiliate like the last ones?

NBC Sports is airing the Tour de France those weekends, and it's probably too much to ask of the NBC Affiliates to give up their Sunday morning shows, so CNBC is getting it. Memorial Day weekend was a holiday weekend so they could get away with it, the rest of the NBC races are late morning and early afternoon.

Current DTV Guide info has CNBC allotting just 1 hr for this broadcast? That would make it the fastest F1 GP race in history at an average speed of over 190mph for the race! Can't wait for that :hurah: :hurah:

I always pad the end time by 3 hrs in case of a rain delay or red flag anyway.
