The autocorrect from FF to Play mode goes too far back on the rewind. Is there a way to fix or adjust this?

    Thanks.

Sorry, no adjustment. This is one reason why I use FFx3 instead of x4, it's like you have to go a minute and a half past the start to hit the beginning. FFx3 is a little easier to judge.

Shame, the auto-correct used to be a good feature. I only use FF4 infrequently, usually at the beginning of baseball games and I hit play as soon as I see a batter in the box. The auto-correct goes back to the last commercial as a rule. Didn't use to be like that.

30 second skip works perfect! :D

Oh yeah, that's usually all I use. But the Yankees games usually have about ten-fifteen minutes of BS before the game and that's a lot of skips...

I try and let it skip a couple of frames past where I want to stop when using FF4. Not good for sports when you don't want to see ahead, but that's how it is. I guess the box trained me.

It would be nice to adjust that.

Use the 6 second replay instead of play during FF, that seems to give a more consistant, and shorter, auto correct.

Agree. 30-second skip hit four or five times takes care of the commercials between innings, except possibly for the seventh-inning stretch.

    I think FFX3 works perfectly.

Yeah, if you know you are going that far FF is the way to go.

I'm using HR 20's now and thought this auto correct used to work fine some time back. (I kept waiting for the next download to fix it!)

I also think at some point in the more distant past when this cropped up before, that it was blamed on a DTV download that ruined the accuracy of this feature, and it was later fixed. Does this ring a bell with anyone? In other words it can be made to work right.

I use FF3x mostly and it seems that for some of you it works well and for others like me, not.

The autocorrect is ridiculous. It jumps back at least twice too far. You'd have to have the reflexes of a senile sloth to need that much autocorrection.

Not sure what reflexes have to do with it. It's not intended to be a video game where the quickest person to hit play wins.

I have no idea how far it jumps back or why as those don't concern me. All I know is that it's consistent (for me) and I know exactly when to hit play so that it starts right where I need it to. Every time.

Using FFx3, you have to go a long way into the show following the commercial break before hitting play if you want it to jump back to the right spot. And using MRV it's far worse. For sports it's useless, unless you don't mind seeing the next few plays happen in FFx3 before seeing them again in regular speed. :nono2:

Yup, somethings you just don't want to see ahead of time. Nothing worse than seeing a score change or a fumble in a football game because you used FF.

Gotcha. I don't use mrv much, nor do I use ff for sports very often (skip or live). Seems to work great for standard TV viewing.

I'm ok with the autocorrect unless you try it over MRV. Then you never know what you'll get and that makes it pretty painful to use.

Ahah! That's probably why it used to work and now it doesn't. I didn't connect the timing of going to MRV and losing the auto correct 'correctness'.

I did find the suggestion to use the 'jump back' to get back into 'play' mode works much better than 'play'.

Thanks guys. Just wish they would fix it properly.

Yup, that's really the only time I use it. My wife uses FF and she never complains about it. Complains about my use of the 30 second skip. Says I'm impatient.
