I see the stuttering, haven't noticed audio issues. They may still be optimizing things, the HD channel doesn't even have a logo in the guide yet. On another note, this game wasn't shot in HD which is why it's being shown in stretched SD (still better PQ than the SD channel, heh).

The audio issues seemed to of disappeared after the first few minutes. Picture is still stuttering every few seconds though. Hopefully they get it figured out before this weekend.

621-1 is showing the same program as 621 as of this moment in HD, so the England match will be in HD hopefully, for now use the sd621 guide info and set for a manual record, unless you are going to watch it live of course.

Yeah DTV really needs to make a soccer plan that includes FSC, FSC+ and GOLTV. Can't justify $15 extra for one channel even in HD.

I would trade the Sports Pack for a Soccer Pack for the same price, or a little more, but I don't see them removing FSC/Gol from the Sports pack.

I forgot to cancel FS+ at end of the EPL season this year, so still get the SD channel and saw the HD channel in the guide this morning with the England game, so set it to record... now my HR21 wants me to pay $5.99 to watch it :(

$15/month for SD + an additional $6/game for HD is extortion :(

Your receiver wanted another $6 for the HD broadcast! Really? That can't be right.

-1 HD channels come from a shared pool of bandwidth. After the game was over with, that transponder and feed most likely flipped over to a PPV HD feed, so it was asking you to watch a PPV movie for $5.99

I had a similar thing happen but the PPV thing happened after the match was over and I tuned to 621-1, it was then that the screen was black and the usual PPV box popped up so I called "D" and explained to the tech people that I already subscribed to FSC+ and I don't think I should have to pay extra for the HD version. However the tech agreed and said he would forward the issue to programming so I suppose we will see what will become of this.
The guide does seem to be set up like a PPV channel and is only showing upcoming EPL matches. I did get to watch my recorded match without issue though.

I hope they get the FSC+ HD sorted out soon, because last night's efforts were pretty disappointing. Got in around 7:30 - switched on to the FSC+ SD channel and it's showing the England-Hungary game, obviously is SD, but with their HD logos on the screen. So I switch to the -1 HD channel which the program guide also says the same game, and I just get the message "This showing is over".
I let this channel ride through the off season because I like some of the rugby, but this is getting to be an insult at $15/mo.

As mentioned throughout this thread, their agreement unfortunately only covers live matches. It's a part-time HD channel which only gets switched on when there's live HD content to show.

Personally, I'm not signing up for FS Plus again until they drop its price, add it to the Sports Pack or bundle it with other soccer channels in some kind of Soccer Pack. That or the price drops to $2-$5/month, that'd be a more appropriate price for what the channel alone offers.

Thanks for the update - I must admit to not reading through the whole thread first. I originally subscribed when it was the Setanta channel, and felt it was worth it because we also got to see some of the Championship matches (too few for sure, but better than none). I let my subscription roll over into FSC+, but things have changed now, and I really do expect HD for the money. Having experienced it much more these past months on ESPN for the WC and other matches, there's really no going back to SD. (At least not the SD quality that Directv has!) If this weekend has little to offer then I'll drop the channel - maybe they'll get the message along the lines you've described.

If you want HD, you're gonna have to watch whatever matches are shown live in HD on FS Plus HD this weekend, when they're live. There's a few. That or you'll have to wait until they fix the above mentioned HD-PPV issue.
