How do you redeem the free movie coupon if you use electronic billing?

Probably call in or mail it in. Does the coupon say anything?

It says to mail it in with your bill, but if you pay electronically with paperless billing it's sort of hard to do.

I pay online and don't receive a paper bill. But I will just have to call to get the credit. That's how I've done it before.

I believe the coupon said you have to order two movies by June 30 (I got mine on around the 23rd), then wait for both charges to show up on your bill. Then if you pay electronically, send the coupon in an envelope & write the title of the movie you watched on it.

Then I'm assuming you have to wait a couple of billing cylces for them to credit you. But I'll never know because mine went straight to the trash.

This may have been tempting if they would have simply given the 2nd rental for free automatically. This seemed designed with the hope that people would rent a couple of movies then forget about the coupon, miss the deadline, or decide it wasn't worth the hassle by the time the charges showed up. Kind of like mail in rebates.

    Bingo!

I would have done it if it were automatic. The movies are overpriced but at half, they are reasonable.

On the back of the coupon it states "If you pay by credit card, auto bill pay, or don't pay your bill directly to DIRECTV, mail only the completed certificate..."

There's a big catch to the free coupon. I received mine July 3. It's a free movie, not a twofer, but it states that I should watch the movie, wait for the bill to show the movie purchase, then mail the coupon in with the bill. But on the back it also requires that the coupon reach DirecTV by July 31.

I've already paid my July bill (through Verizon) so I won't see the August bill until sometime after August 1.

I'd give it a shot by sending in a screen capture of my billing record at DirecTV along with the coupon, but I know from past experience that doing anything unusual with a bill will take at least three months and several lengthy phone calls before it's straightened out. That's not worth it for five bucks! :nono2:
