I didn't think they let you use hbogo or hbo on demand during free previews. Am I wrong?

The message on the TV yesterday stated that the preview starts at 9 AM ET. This is IIRC an hour later than usual.

I like using HBO Go through my Samsung tv. The app is very well done and I've had virtually no issues with it. Has anyone else used it?

You are right sir. The other poster is mis-informed. I order for this to work, there has to be a "paid" subscription tied to your account, even if there is a credit after to offset promotions

C'mon some of you should know that HBO/Cinemax OD or HBO/Cinemax Go doesn't get switched on during free previews, it's not like its a mystery with all the previews we been having. Now premium subscriptions and free promotions does work. To some that didn't know I apologize.

The message I received does not give a start time, just dates. It does, however, include an admonition to watch HBO's Game of Thrones on 3/31 at 9 PM ET.

Before, they always turned them on at 5am. Just like when they turn on the new stations.

I ran through the Guide for this coming Friday morning to next Monday morning and interestingly found no movies that I'd have any interest in seeing on HBO or Cinemax during their free preview. Guess that's why I don't sub to these. ;-)

I used to be a big fan of the premium channels (when you didn't have to be Warren Buffet to afford them). But with all the alternative delivery methods and the lack of any decent current movies that appeal to me they are not a value anymore.

This is probably why the premium channels no longer push movies but instead their own scripted series. It's also why they keep having "free previews" in an attempt to hook subscribers.
