I never said they were forced to do so. I said that if they placed limitations on it then the content owner would have a say in it. The same way they have a say in package and, in some cases, lineup placement.

Still waiting for evidence of DirecTV restricting recording abilities for sporting events. Your claim that you can watch a channel, but not record it is laughable.

Yep, and I bet HBO, wouldn't want non paying subscribers recording their content.

Watch it all you want for free, But record it when you pay for it!

Oh well untill tomorrow Hoosier, always a pleasure.

Obviously the previews work as HBO wants them to because they keep offering them. Your claims are ridiculous and backed up by very little logic.

You made the claim. I'm not surprised you can't back it up.

If you can view the content on a channel, you can record it. There's no reason to lie about.

The "sample" they are giving is the free preview weekend. You just proved our point with that statement...thanks.

So you've already stated. Not sold on it , since I can't record PPV, or Sonictap music, I'm viewing them now.
If directv wants they can limit your recording, You seem to think they can't.

OH now you woke Justin up from his nap!!! :new_puppy

Other than PPV Movies (which I don't use, but I can record UFC PPV) and the music channels...you can record your package channels, your RSN's when they are not blacked out, and your premiums. Your claims that you can view your RSN's but not record them is false. I have no idea why you have chosen to claim this.

    No I didn't claim that.

YES 3 times last year and SNY twice.

Again only when the games are Mirrored on MY53.
