FXX unveils Simpsons World portal to drooling critics

(Hitfix.com) - Every episode ever, in an order that's easy to browse, but also easy to search. (The original "Simpsons" clips from "The Tracey Ullman Show" are not currently part of the package, but FX is talking to Matt Groening about it; "I know Matt has a very open mind to that," said FX COO Chuck Saftler. "The Simpsons Movie" will appear intermittently on the app, but won't be available constantly.

Simpsons World will, like FX's FXNow service, require cable authentication, and for your provider to have a deal with FX, at least to watch full episodes. At the moment, FX has deals with about 60 percent of the country's providers, including AT&T, Cablevision, Comcast, Cox and Time-Warner, and Saftler sounded very confident that they will close deals with the other 40 percent in the next year or so. (Customers demanding access to Simpsons World will certainly give FX leverage in negotiations with providers.) The app will be available on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Apple TV, Samsung, XBox1 and XBox360 as of now....

All episodes in their entirety (meaning no footage snipped from the original broadcast for commercials)?

I hope they're not snipped. I've probably not seen most of these, especially the earliest ones. I do remember a little bit of the early days of the FOX network. In our market IIRC the channel was a lower-powered UHF station for at least the first few years.

[Edit]: I hope this isn't an inappropriate thread. I was referring to the mega marathon that starts on FXX on Thursday morning as far as hoping they're not snipped. I would think there would be less reason to "snip" online or OD versions.

Watching it now on FXX, episodes look great in HD (this is the first episode on now, from 1989), but are zoomed in.

Update: All 'Simpsons' episodes are now available for streaming

(engadget.com) - The wait is over, people of the interwebs. Right on cue, Fox has launched Simpsons World, the online hub where it will be streaming every Simpsons episode ever broadcasted. Even though the content is free to browse, you do need a cable login to start watching -- it's simple, if you're subscribed to a package that offers FXX, a channel owned by Fox, then you're good to go. In addition to the Simpsons World website, all Simpsons episodes can also be streamed via the FXNow mobile application, which is available on iOS and Android. Sure, it's only Tuesday, but at least now you have a clue of what you'll be doing this weekend....
