If that's true, then why still have the channel still up telling us what we already know that G4 is no longer available. Just take it down if it's no longer being offered.

    Peace Whoga

When other channels have been taken down I believe they've left the message up for about 30 days. That way folks that only tune into the channel on an occasional basis or are out of town see the message.

If Dish paid my ETF and cut the tree down that's blocking the eastern arc, I would.

But more so for AMC, BBC America, E and Style in HD. Oh and the 922 dvr with the HD GUI.

I'm going to miss "Movies that don't Suck" that they used to haveon the weekends.

Just the title alone deserves some appreciation.

Just an FYI that most of the types of movies they show are available streaming on Netflix.

G4 still shows in the guide. It shows as "DirecTV no longer carries G4", but it is still there.... If they are completely done with G4, I would imagine that they either completely remove that line at some point in the near future, and proceed to use the bandwidth for some other channel.... If there is a sliver of a chance negotiations will pick up again, they will likely hold on to that slot on the satellite for now so they can just continue as is as soon as the signal is restored.

Personally, I can live without G4. Not that my bill will go down the 5 cents that channel is worth, but oh well :)

not like there'd be alot of bandwidth to recoup...it was an SD channel so BAH !

i can honestly say this is one channel pull I'm not upset with..literally dont care
    to each their own...however

I was upset TWC Time Warner Cable never carried NFLN (still doesn't carry)
I was upset over the VS pull on D*
I was upset almost over the FOX & ABC pull from TWC as well

G4 is one channel I can sleep at night, wake up NOT running to check if the channel is still empty....as a video gamer on PS3/360 and a sometime gamer on my wife's Wii ---> this channel served little use for me...if at all ANY..IGN websites & other rich resources of web content on gamespot/gamefaqs/you tube video walkthru's filled my needs for what this channel never did for me...except for E3...then again E3 was always going on in the daytime while I worked so I'd be watching the streams at my desk anyways..even more funny with last E3 seminar...the web streams werent even from G4's website!!! cause it was so pi$$ poor last year when it was on their site..e3 HAD their own website!

    bye bye G4...peace out

By the way Leo and the guys at TWiT did E3 events live on the TWiT Live channel which streams 24x7. Was pretty good coverage too.

In today's world, anything G4 does is all done now (and better in most cases) by online sources.

Was G4 *EVER* good? I remember I once tried to watch Jurassic Park 3 on there. 5 minutes of movie, 5 minutes of commercials, rinse & repeat. Seriously. No Joke. In the 5 minutes they actually showed the movie, they had **3** bugs on screen, one of which was obnoxiously animated. Whenever they would come back from commercial, they would smoosh the screen to 3/4 height to put a banner on the bottom.

    Seriously. The. Worst. Channel. Ever.

If I was unfortunate enough to have Dish N...i'd of left along time ago and certainly wouldnt of been for a G4 channel pull...

    -Fox Channels pulled (since returned)
    -MLB Network gone
    -MLB PPV gone
*-ESPN2 or ESPN NEWS or ESPNU HD relegated to standard def...
    -MSG Network gone
    -never had YES Network

congrats G4 ..i'd of left Dish N by now and most certainly you'd NOT be the deciding factor!

*PLEASE PLEASE insert corrections here...i know some of (not all of these 3) the ESPN channels were delegated to SD only and had their HD channels pulled..

I don't think Charlie likes baseball, aren't they the largest provider to never have had Extra Innings?

I have a friend with Dish. He said he went with them because he was told DirecTV was for sports fans, Dish for people that didn't like/care about televised sports.
