Back at ya neighbor. I live in Blairstown where gas is running $2.71 - $2.77 between the 3 cartel stations in town. Much cheaper north towards Newton or south in Buttzvlle (yeah, theres a town near-by named Buttzville). A few miles out of town and you save at least $.10 per gallon.

Now we've dropped to $3.05/gal .. I'm liking the direction.

Yep, I've seen the exit (3 rite?) for Butzville on I80. I'm in Lafayette; got fuel today in Sussex, $2.65. We used 2 just have the exxon/mobil station in town. Now that quik-check has opened up across from it, the prices have been down somewhat.

Commodities jumped yesterday on reports of a severe hurricane season. Oil jumped 4% to $74 after being as low as $68. Still down from its recent high of $87. But if a major hurricane cuts loose in the Gulf, expect to see $100 again.

How convenient for the oil companies that hurricane season reports coincide with memorial day weekend travels. Look at what happened by accident

There used to be a time that there actually had to be a storm out there headed for the oil platforms for prices to bump up. Now even the mention of storms possibly forming at some later date is enough to raise prices. Just wait. One day we'll hear prices are rocketing because theres a cloud over the Gulf.

Gas prices have dropped here in Blairstown, NJ. 3 stations within 1/2 mile of each-other. $2.63 low / $2.69 high for regular. 5 miles south (Knowlton, NJ) or north (Fredon, NJ) of Blairstown prices are $2.57 gal.

At the corner of US 101 and SR 20 gas prices after reaching the highest they had been since I started keeping this record last May, suddenly the price is down 10¢. Tourist traffic appears to be heavier than last year, particularly RVs.

    We dropped a smidge to $3.13/gal ..

Again, Shell station, generally highest cost in area, but always with ~ $.10 - $.12 of cheaper competitors. The station does show trends faster than other stations though as apparently they sell lots of gas.
