I wonder if many people do this also. Back in 2008 when gas prices began increasing daily, I began filling up daily as well. I've continued to do so since then. I fill up daily unless gas prices are dropping, then I only fill up when I'm on fumes. Even though we don't plan on any trips anytime soon, I put 49 gal in our RV's tank at Costco 2 weeks ago @ $3.21 gal. Same gas today $3.54. Saved $16.

Yeah, not only is this affecting gasoline, but heating fuel and electricity retail prices will climb dramatically if the current situation continues. It will screw up the "consumer economy recovery.":eek2:

If more people begin doing that the lines will start getting longer and before you know it the lines will be around the block.

Many more must be doing the same, Costco had at least 60 cars lined up last Saturday afternoon. I have a half dozen stations I buy from that are on my daily route. If one is to busy, I'll wait for the next one. If the line is to long and the differance is only a penny or 2, I'll pass for the day.

Why are the prices going up? It can't be from Libya -- I thought we got a very small percentage of oil from there. Imagine if there's a hurricane in the Gulf this summer, too.

This is due to fear .. The fear is the unrest in Egypt and now Libya and other Middle-East/North African areas will move into Saudi Arabia. That would be a problem.

I'm not sure that it's a rational fear, but many fears are irrational. However, it does affect the price.
