the clients seem fine
The normal DirecTV remotes can control all the receivers in RF mode EXCEPT for the HR44. In order to use the HR44 in RF mode, you need the RC71 remote.
You may be right cuz i think the remote is in the IR mode, but in that room its fine
but in the kitchen, with the C31 he has it being controlled by the RC66RX he left in RF
the HR44 in my family room is being controlled in IR by the RC66RX he left but in the kitchen he has the C31 set up with the RC66RX in RF
That's fine. And you mean the RC65RX, correct? The "R" near the end means the remote is RF capable. The "X" at the end means the remote is self-programming. As I stated though, the HR44 can only be controlled via IR though with the old style DirecTV remotes.
NO, what he left me are RC66RX
That's fine. Same difference though. The RC66 probably just has some additional codes built into it.
I have to play around with it cuz in the kitchen i have a Sanyo 26" and it wont power off the TV with the off button, it cycles on and off with the power button so I guess i need to work the codes.
