    Peachtree...
Maybe things have changed but I have attended several of these events over the years and typically all you are getting is a 'Release Candidate'. You can get that right now without having to waste your time attending propaganda-fest..

I've attended several Microsoft Launch Events and the software they have given out has always been full versions. I seem to recall at the SQL Server 2008 event they did give us RC software, but it included a link to register for the the final RTM version, which they sent when it was released.

I got an invitation to this; it is not the release candidate.
Since the RTM version is readily available through Technet and now the Enterprise Licensing sites, the RC is due to expire shortly.

    Isn't it a full day? The registration form shows a track from 9:00am - 11:30am and another from 1:15pm - 4:45pm.

    9 - 4:45 is a full day for me.

It's not THAT far north. I'd make the drive if I were in the neighborhood. ;)

They don't seem to be making that too clear on the sign-up site.
Either way, I think I'd need at least a pint of Grey Goose to make it through such an event without wanting to throttle the MS robot doing the presentation.

    Propaganda, you say?
Hmmm... Where else have I seen a trend towards MS propaganda?
Let me think on it and get back to you.

The version you will receive is the RTM version complete with license. The session is a half day... they do 2 sessions a day.

Can't beleive there are no sessions in North Carolina. Between Raleigh/RTP with all the tech here and Charlotte it seems preposterous.
