IIRC, there are two guide PIDs available, one has 9+ days while the other has 2+ days. If you are missing a certain sat, you will get only the 2+ day guide info. Not sure why they ever did that or even if it is still how its done, but solve not being able to get certain sats first, and that will likely solve your guide problem.

I don't think you are. The guide data needs to be on an even & odd tp on both the 101 & 119 SATs, for all receivers to have access to it. It's a waste of bandwidth to have two sets of guide data. The difference in guide data on a receiver is due to the resources of the receiver to store/manage it.

I moved my dish and now I got the SWM 5 and all the satellites but my H24 will show the data for the guide for the first few hours after a reboot but now it still sais "to be announced".

If I need to return the receiver how would I do that. I bought it online from Satellite Mart.

How long are you waiting after a reboot before you think you're not getting data?

If you feel it's an issue with the hardware you need to call DirecTV.

I wait about 24 hours. And I'll give DTV a call later is if continues.

    Winters,...
I would first try a manual flush of the Guide. Two menu resets within 30 minutes.

    Good luck!

All good now. Seems to be working. I got the channel logos now when I press info.

You don't have to do that on an H24, the guide flushes every time.
