I did a quick search and didn't find anything.

Anyone have any info on why all 3 of my DVRs rebooted at the exact same time.

Occurred about 5 minutes ago. The software didn't update, they just rebooted.

Power interruption, would be my guess.

Except nothing else lost power. My TVs stayed on. Different rooms. Only the receivers rebooted.

    All different circuits.

If all the receivers failed to get guide data for an extended period of time, they will reboot. If they all lost guide data at the same time, they would all reboot at the same time about 12 hours later. Usually they pop up annoying messages every hour notifying you of the problem, so unless no one was watching anything all day, I would say thats not the reason. Be kind of hard not to notice those nag screens.

Sometimes DirecTv sends out a signal to reboot everyones boxes if they are having a guide data problem, but I havent heard of any such thing happening today, and none of my boxes rebooted.

I figured it was a remote reboot. That is why I got on here and asked. Thanks for the info. Exactly what I was looking for.

    Thanks.

I do get random reboots occasionally. Rare to get them on different HRs at the same time, but I have experienced that a couple times. Not recently, tho. Minor annoyance.

Both of mine had rebooted sometime last night. Nothing else in my house had any signs of the power going out. I did not know before reading this that they would reboot if they lost the signal. I just wish the DVR would remember my playlist settings.

Do you mean your series manager was wiped out? If it is losing settings and/or recordings there is a good chance you have a failing hard drive.

A few NRs ago, something changed in my 20-700s that caused them to lose power at the slightest flicker of power loss. Nothing else in my home was affected. But all nine 20-700s rebooted. I put them all on UPS and haven't had that problem since.

I keep my playlist in alphabetical order. Every time it reboots, it sets it to newest first order. It is kind of annoying. I'm not sure why it is unable to remember this setting. It does this on both my dvrs.

Yet another thing people wish for and never get. You get used to it.

Just thought of something. Don't you get annoyed when you watch a folder with a series in it and hit Play on the folder and it plays the programs in the folder in alphabetical order?

Actually, within the folder, they are sorted by date.

You're right. Don't know where I got that idea from, could swear it happened to me recently. Did something change in the last NR?
