I called D* about it, and they sent a tech out to re-align the dish (signal strength was in mid 90's before, didn't change any after). Not sure if it fixed the problem or not, but I didn't notice the problem any last night. I wasn't watching 9 or 12 for very long, though.

Directv is now broadcasting WNCT-DT2 The CW on channel 15 in 720p.
This Standard def channel now has a bad line across the top.
Why is Directv sending this SD channel in HD format. Does nothing to help picture quality.

WITN appears to be offline on the LIL feed but is there via OTA. Anyone else seeing the same issue?

Keeping a eye out for WITN-DT My Network TV. WITN has built a new HD studio and plans to offer 3 full time channels. Currently MyNetwork TV and MeTV share a channel. Im hoping when the 3 full time channels are launched maybe Directv will add the channel. They are adding alot of channels like this to the local packages across the country.

Yes Sir, the great WNCT CH 9 has a DD 5.1 issue. The DD 5.1 is operational during CBS national news broadcasts, David Letterman and Craig Ferguson late shows and OFF during their big prime time heavies such as Hawaii Five O, NCIS, NCIS LA, CSI Vegas, Person Of Interest, Elementary, CSI NY and Blue Bloods.
What is is going to take for this station to correct that unpleasant mess? Does anybody care about Home Theater viewers?

Directv changed ch 15 The CW to 720p HD a few weeks ago. Directv also added Ch 38 ION HD to the local channel range.

Directv has not added the HD tags to the program guide for WNCT DT2 (ch 15) CW HD. The station went HD couple of months ago but Directv is not using HD tags in the guide. They also still list as SD on the local channel look up page.

    Eastern NC...
I noticed that our local channels, except for UNC and UNC-EX, which are on another transponder, suffered from rain fade yesterday.
I checked my signal levels compared to a year ago, and 103S(s) transponder 4, which carries all the local stations, has dropped signal strength from 95 to 88 over the past year, probably due to changes in spot beam configuration. All other transponders 0n 101, 109 and 103 that provide channels for our market remain in the 95 to 100 range on a clear day. The weaker signal on transponder 4 gives less margin for rain or other signal attenuation.

I am in River Bend, on the south side of New Bern.
