Funny how the mass "accounting errors" are always in their favor (kind of similar to the contract extension errors).

I was talking about credits. I agreed to a 24 month contract that contained certain credits to be received each month over specific periods of time. If they do not honor what I agreed to at the time I signed up for 24 months and give me the agreed upon credits, then they are in breach of the agreement. They, of course, have a certain reasonable amount of time to cure the breach and give me the credits on subsequent billings.

Because no one dares to call in if they were not charged for something:hurah:

Yes, even funnier is how it happened right at the end of their fiscal year.

FWIW, my bill dropped today and the $10 HD credit was in place without any error. How many people have actually seen a billing error? Just asking!!

A lot. It only hit you if your bill dates were between a specific pair of dates. Obviously the issue has been fixed going forward but those in that "window" have not received their credits.

I have $41 in credits that did not appear on my December 27 statement. I don't know how many people got hosed this month but having a D+ BBB rating and several lawsuits pending against them doesn't give me a lot of warm fuzzies.

To let everyone know, I received my missing credits today. If you don't have yours quickly you may wish to follow-up.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I had checked as recently as yesterday moring and nothing had posted. I just looked and there is now a lovely negative balance of $21.38 on my account.

    Happy New Year indeed!

I have had a recurring credit item (not HD) for several years. It almost always shows up before the billing date but a few times it has been a few days late and two credits showed up the next month. No big deal.

Credits usually apply the same time each month for the account. They should show up prior to the billing cycle being generated for the next month. Most of the time when the credits get "out of synch" is because someone pays a bill later than the due date and pays the balance with the new credit for the last month's bill.

To keep things simple always pay the billed amount and let any differences show up on the next bill.

All your missing credits should be posted. At least mine are. Only took a few days.

I also did not get the HD fee credited within the billing cycle, but now have a $10 credit in my balance.

Is D* offering the HD credit for existing customers with auto pay?

    That's how I got mine!

I saw and read through the other thread on the topic and then decided to call Customer Service.

Sure enough, they gave me the credit and I have been receiving it every month, no issues. You should give them a call.

I was "overcharged" this month (12-26-2011) due to the credits not processing. The worst part is that I was set up on auto pay so an additional $47.03 came off my payment method WITHOUT prior notice. Magically I have a $47.03 credit on my account now. Customer dis-service was useless and rude on the matter. Because of the unreliability and rudeness in the matter I revoked my auto-bill pay permissions.... today I get an e-mail stating I have 7 days to setup auto pay or I will permanently lose my $10 HD credit for good. The whole reason I removed it was because of their error and lack of acceptable resolution. Their own contract states that they must notify you in advance in writing if they are going to change your amount of debit.

As little as I actually get to watch TV I think I will kick DTV out of my home as soon as my contract expires.

I'm also going to file my report and join the other 36,000+ people that have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against DTV in the past 3 years. Not surprising that they have a D rating.

And I just got an email confirming mine was renewed. I was expecting to have to call in to get it setup again.
