If I wanted to get one before lease only starts on 3/1, but didn't want to activate the HD package yet, could I use a D* HD receiver for the OTA tuner only until I decide to activate it?

Older Directv HD receivers worked without activation, but the H20 will not receive OTA without being activated. I have 2 HUGHES HTLs and 1 Samsung TS360 serving as OTA receivers without a subscription but the H20 has to be active.:)

Plus, anytime you purchase a DTV receiver you agree to activate it within 30 days of face a $$$ penalty.
