It's not just the east coast, I get all west coast HD feeds and all but Fox HD series links are not working!

Here's what I've discovered about network HD shows not recording. I've entered a bunch of DNS HD shows to be series links. However, I noticed that several had the "None scheduled" in the prioritizer problem even though they do show in the guide. These were for ABC, CBS and Fox programs. But, not NBC. Coincidently, I get ABC, CBS and Fox OTA. I was able to set series links if I used the OTA channels. I've seen the discussion in this thread saying that the east coast DNS guide data may be at fault. Or could it be that the prioritizer is getting confused by the fact that I get HD on two channels, one DNS and the other OTA? There isn't a problem with NBC since I don't have an OTA version of NBC.

So I've set up the HR20 to record OTA networks where applicable. I plan to use my HR10 to record the majority of the DNS programming.

BTW, as probably noted in a multitude of other threads, selecting shows for series links is a real pain.

Another good idea, but since I don't have any OTA channels, I don't think that is the issue. Also, everything worked fine until the middle of this week.

It may not have anything to do with OTA, but it is an interesting coincidence. :) Curious that NBC DNS is okay.

Thank goodness I kept the HR10 around (of course, I never planned to remove it :))

mine are all still messed up...and i don't have ota channels either. all channels were fine until the middle of the week. mine are the same issue -nbc east hd is fine for series recordings, but my abc, cbs, and fox all show "no shows scheduled" under scheduler. all very strange...anybody else get confromation that directv is aware of the problem and is working to fix it?

Since I just got the HR20 a couple of weeks ago, I can't verify that it worked correctly before last week. I was relying on the HR10 to continue to record my SPs. Looks like I'll have to continue that for awhile. :) I'll use the HR20 for non network and MPEG4 programming.

According to this thread (mentioned above), DirecTV is aware of the problem.

I just started noticing the same issues during the middle of last week. Criminal Minds showed that it encountered an error and did not record, and now none of my CBS or Fox DNS feeds will allow me to record a series. I tried deleting a series and restarting, but pressing the record button twice only cancels a recording.

It doesn't recognize that anything is a recurring program. Any more input would be great, since this is quite annoying.

Same issues here with East Coast ABC (86) and East Coast Fox (88). Programs that I had set up as Series Recordings last week were missed, and if I hit the Rec button twice in the guide it just cancels the recording rather than setting up a series link. If I hit "info" on a channel in the guide and select "record series" it does not show up in the to do list.

They are screwing with the channels I get side of things. THAT is what is screwing up the DNS channels. I just discovered this a few minutes ago. The only HD DNS channels now on my channels I get list are NBCE and FOXW(which i don't even get.)

On my HR10 it has added all but the west coast DNS feed for NBC to my CIR list too.

This is more than just a little screw up. Everybody affected by this needs to call them up and raise hell:mad:

I'm in SF, and none of my weekend HD shows recorded. No reason in history, no mention of the shows at all. And none of my shows are local channels anywhere -- it was all SCIFIHD and UNIHD shows.

just talked to level 2 tech support...i also was told they are aware of the problem. She had no idea when it may be resolved though, but did say they're working on it.

i know this has already been stated on this forum, but i just figured I'd re-confirm it.

Thanks, guess I will manually record everything and wait for them to fix it.

I'm glad they are at least aware of the problem.

I've been on the phone with several people at tech. Now they say that they don't know anything about the problem. I've got a new HR20-700 coming this evening. I will hook it up and see if that helps, and let you all know.

OK - DirecTV is working on the "channels I get" feature and has implemented some changes starting with the DNS channels. If you go into the Favorites menu and select Channels I Get, these channels should be selected, if you are subscribed. If you are not subscribed, these channels will be unselected.
For anyone who cannot set the series link, can you post back and tell us if you have this channel checked or unchecked in the Channels I Get screen?

I just looked at Channels I Get, and not a single channel is selected.

I can't remember this ever having worked.

As I posted in another thread, I checked my CIG, and none of the HD DNS channels are selected except for NBC-HD EAST (82) and FOX-HD WEST (89)... neither of which I receive... yet CBS-HD EAST (80) and ABC-HD EAST (86) which I receive are not checked.

A workaround is to do a manual record... which is what I have been doing since last Thursday night.

I think this is getting close....Nothing is checked on any of my boxes for CIR, but the ones I can't create a series link on don't have boxes next to them to check. The only DNS that has a box NBCE next to it(unchecked) still allows Series Links to work.

I do have a box next to FOXW, which I don't subscribe to and can't watch. I get the normal error message on channle not purchased.

    There is nothing to "CHECK".

If you have a box next to the channel, it's considered a CHANNEL I GET/CHANNEL I RECIEVE. If you don't have a box next to the channel, it's supposed to mean that you don't get that channel!

NBCE and FOXW are the channels marked on my box, but I receive neither. The ones I do receive are not marked.

Some of the channels without boxes next to them are channels I still receive, I just can't set up a Series Link on them.
