All I can say is
This show is opened with an MC who is way too young to remember any of the "artists" that he is introducing and hyping.

Loverboy, a so called "sexy" band from Canada, comes on with the lead singer in terrible need of a long intense workout and weight loss program. If the rest of the show is as funny as this was it could be a real hoot, like watching a train wreck.

DH just turned it to this for about 20 seconds. Right at the beginning of them singing "Hero". Sad. Just sad. :nono:

I was watching The Great Escape, but now he's watching Charlie's Angels.

Man that show made me feel OLD. All the people I grew up loving looked terrible.

The Flock of Seagles? Excuse me, where was the Flock? :)

Seeing Tiffany surprised me, I had a crush on her growing up and I was lucky to work with her when I wore a younger mans clothes. :D

When I was just finishing High School I was Tiffany's escort for a day at the amusement park I worked at where she was playing a concert that night, got to go on all the rides with her and was invited out to dinner with her and her crew.

At the end of the night she gave me a poster (which I believe I still have stored somewhere) that said something like "Scott, Thanks for tonight! Love Tiffany."

On an interesting night, Tiffany's opening act that night was an unheard of band... This band got booed HARD for their first few songs, but by the end the girls were all googoo over them. That band was New Kids on the Block. I was kicking myself a few months later for not getting some autographed stuff from them, I could have made some good money. :)

    Ahh memories.

BTW they kept advertising Vanilla Ice was going to be on all week, but now he is on next weeks show instead.

I have it DVR'd to watch later. I can't wait. These people have sunk as low as an entertainer can go by participating in this program. Very, very, sad.

That reminds me of a band that was the opening act for "The Castaways" of "Liar, Liar" fame at "Big Regie's Danceland" in Excelsior, Minnesota in June 1964. The Castaways were a local band from surrounding high schools in Minnesota that had a very loyal local following. Everyone was eager to see The Castaways and couldn't have cared less about the scruffy looking guys who were opening for them that night. The opening act was roundly booed off the stage and left after a short while never to be seen again "that night". The band that was booed off the stage went by the name of The Rolling Stones. The next Summer Liar Liar hit the top 10 national charts and, well, that other band, The Rolling Stones went on to other things. While I didn't attend that show as I moved to Minnesota the next year, I heard about it from many folks who were there and it is a legend in Minnesota rock hisotry.

Flock... what Flock? It was only one guy from the band. (I.e. one Seagull) :D

    The same went for Loverboy.

A Flock of Seagulls have disbanded, although briefly reunited a few years back. The main hairdresser..... I mean singer.... took off on his own. They were one of my favorites of the New Wave era.

Too bad I missed this show while I am currently dbs-less. Any reruns scheduled?

Kind of a spinoff of Bands Revisited, a VH1 show that pounced on the original band members of 80's groups and tried to get them to play a concert in front of some fans they had assembled. Sometimes it went great (Berlin), sometimes just OK (ABC), and sometimes they couldn't pull it off (Frankie Goes to Hollywood ... I was hoping they had pulled that one off actually).

I think sometimes we need to remember them the way they were, not the way they are now. :sure:

I mean my God , I think I felt 20 years older just watching all those Lover Boy /Flock of Seagulls grandpas run around the stage- 25 years really ages a guy. Did you see CC Penistan look like a stuffed sausage in that tight black dress? Tiffany when she first came out, looked like she was wearing a maternity top. For someone who is like 30 now, she really let her self go. Arrested Development still sounded good on both songs they sang. The rest of them sounded like crap. As far the host; he looked like I did when I was 14 in the mid 70's before I had a good haircut. And what's with the Accent? Why does everyone think they need to add a Simon Cowel sound alike, to appear they have someone with class?

They pre-empted the Eagles concert here for a "Hurricane Prep" special. I bet they got some calls. They are running it at 2:30 AM Monday morning. PVR is set.
