    Hi All,

I had my Hopper 3 installed yesterday (+4 Joeys)

The installer said wifi was best and set it up that way. However, I have Ethernet available. Common sense tells me Ethernet would be a far better option.

    Anything I'm missing?

Listen to your commonsense. What are you missing? You're potentially missing dreadful wireless contention. ;)

Ask yourself this question. Am I using a strong random 64 character passphrase/password that is difficult to remember when recited once or did I just give the installer possible access to my wLAN?

If the answer is the latter, then I would change the WPA2-PSK [AES] passphrase/password in your router to use the former.

I used WPS, so no concerns with with network access for the tech.

    I'll plug in via Ethernet.

In that case, make sure to disable WPS when you're finished as it is a security risk.
