    My HR21-200 from teh field trial showed up right away. However, it doesn't say leased, only my primary HR20-700 is leased. That fee is waived since I have the Choice Plus DVR package.

    Middle...
    Okay I went back and looked at my account today, on my actual billing day. I was mistaken yesterday; the charge that was put on my account yesterday was an additional receiver fee for my HR21-700, a receiver I haven't been paying a fee for since I got it in August 2007. :grin: I checked the numbers twice yesterday and didn't see a match but looking at them again today it seems I just missed it.

    There are lots of things we can all still be doing while the wait is on. Today I am going to get a better measurement of all my cable runs pertaining to this upcoming Field Trial.

    Also on my list is a bit of house cleaning. :)

    Yup - checking all my cables and connectors, as well as the final 4-port splitter install today.

    Prep work makes the install so much simpler.

    I got my secondary router yesterday. I found it funny that a lot of box stores these days don't seem to carry plain-old-vanilla routers anymore. They are all wireless routers now (at least the gigabit versions).

    I will be making an intranet inside my intranet today. :)

    Sorry, I had this flash of a burly guy, tats, and an apron go through my mind. Stop that, I shouldn't have those things popping into my head this early in the morning, ewwwww! :)

    I have an old router I'm going to use since it is Fast Ethernet, it should be fine. The H24 and HR24 will be the only things on that net.

    Well, I'm all ready to roll

    I still need to replace the network switch with a larger one as I ran out of ports when I added an xbox, but that's on the way, and of course I need to add in the DECA components, but that will just go on the SWM1/H24 leg as needed.

    So here's the proposed layout...... new in red

    * Sat - 5lnb slimline dish connected to SWM8 F/W 1.0.8
    * Network - Linksys WRT54G router > 2 hardwired Linksys Switches (EZXS55W & EZXS88W) > Dell Studio XPS 800, Win7 Ultimate 64 bit, 8GB ram, Intel Core i7-860 processor, nVidia GeForce GTS240

    * HR20-700 (System 1a) - HR23-700 (System 1b) - H24-xxx (System 1c) on SWM1/PWR leg w/ sws4 after power inserter - all connected via hdmi through Sony STR-DG810 (Sat port = HR23, Video 2 port = H24, DVD port = shared via HDMI 3-In 1-Out HDMI Auto Switch w/ HR20, xBox and PS3) = Sony Bravia KDL-V32XBR1 | Bose Acoustimass 600 5.1 speakers | OTA via Silver Sensor split to TV, HR20 & AM21 | Thermaltake USB fan for HR20 | Sony PS3 | xBox 360 | Networked via Linksys EZXS88W Switch

    * HR20-700 (System 2) on on SWM2 leg with Skywalker 2-way splitter - component = Magnavox 17MD255V/17 | Networked via wired connection | Thermaltake USB fan

    * HR21-700 (System 3) on SWM2 leg with Skywalker 2-way splitter - hdmi = Sony Bravia KDL-V26XBR1 | OTA via AM21 & Silver Sensor split to TV & AM21 | Slingbox Pro via HDConnect component cable | Networked via Linksys EZXS55W Switch

    Now that the field trials are moving into gear, I'm closing this thread and asking H24 testers to continue in the H24 discussion thread. HR24 testers can keep anticipating in their own thread.
