There is a hord of folks wishing the very same thing. There isn't any confirmation from DirecTV if they intend to try and implement it in the HD DVRs, but it is possible if they get the Media Share working. I'll keep my fingers crossed... Mrs. Smiddy would love it too. We currently can watch our DVRs anywhere there is a TV, but if someone is using a DVR, then it is tied up for a while until they get done, or shanghi it. ;)

I have shows on my son's HR10-250, like Snow Dogs (from last year) that I never considered. They are there, but I haave seen them.

Those SD shows, no offense, are becoming pass-say. I still watch'm, but man is it difficult?! I'm thinking by the middile of 2008, there will be very little SD left. :)

I've been keeping up to date on most of the new season, but here's where I'm behind ...

    Shows from Last Season
    • 24: 8 episodes (may not bother)
    • Burn Notice: 7 episodes
    • Nip/Tuck: 3 episodes
    Shows from this Season:
    • Without a Trace: 7 epsiodes behind
    • ER: 10 episodes behind (all of them)
    • Tin Man: 6 hours (all 3 parts of the miniseries)
    • Nip Tuck: 6 episodes (all of them)
    • Flash Gordon: 15 episodes (all of them ... so far)
    • Californication: 12 episodes (all of them)
    • Greek: 10 episodes (all of them)
    • Kyle XY: 9 episodes
I'll get around to them someday! :)

We're caught up to last night on on our regular series, but somehow with all the Christmas specials and filler shows (12 family guys, a few cash cabs and the like) I'm still at close to 50% on a stock HR20-700. Possibly Santa has a nice shiny esata in his bag for me.

Yeah, I didn't take offense, but sometimes we do way too many polls. I try not to do a silly one. I concur, this was an interesting one, especially everyone's way of dealing with their programming. :)

Mrs. Smiddy used the online DVR scheduler today for just that reason, Christmas shows. I fear I may have to add an eSATA drive to the Smiddlett's HR20-700 so we don't max out the internal drive.

Looks like I'll be getting arond to these sooner than later ... I'm down to four programs in my To Do List on one DVR for the next two weeks, and 8 on the other.

I also forgot that I have the entire season of Mad Men to watch as well.

I live in Charlotte during the week, and travel home to columbia, sc on the weekends. The wife and I are pretty far behind:

    Heroes: caught up
    Bionice Woman: 5 behind
    Boston Legal: 3 behind
    Journeyman: 4 behind
Shark: 6 behind (although I deleted several b/c of football overruns...)
    ER: 1 behind
    Life: Caught Up.

You are not sad...just behind a bit. Me too, I did a PPV recording of Wild Hogs in October and I still have yet to watch it. I am off for two weeks starting this Friday evening. I will find time to catch up.

Don't worry, everyone here will have tons of time to make up on there dvr'd shows since the writers strike is still dragging on.

I fell a few weeks behind on Dexter. Needed DVR space to get through Sun and Mon so found a later showing. (My usual viewing strategy is to watch the shows that consume the most space.) I later discover Showtime's schedule was wrong and they were showing some short film instead. Luckily I managed to find an old replay on Sho2. Then it happened a 2nd time and I haven't found a replay and have 4 episodes left to watch.

I was 4-5 weeks behind on SD series episodes that we still watch. We try and watch the HD programing first to clear DVR space. Never have enough room. Just got back from 3 weeks vacation and when I left I had 60% usage available. I should have checked my Series Links before I left as the DVR was 100% overwritten with new HD programing. Lot's of HD news/political talk shows I could have lived without. Now I'm only 2 weeks behind and with the writers strike we should catch up soon.

Well... as of today, zero, I've got maybe four "episodic" shows left on the hard drives, and then I move on to stuff on Discovery, History, Smithsonian, etc. and movies.

Poll was closed but I haven't watched any Law and Order SVUs yet. Started saving them when the strike was being talked about.

I am 10 weeks behind on that at least. :D
