Came up to bedroom to watch tv tonight. HR22 us searching for satellite on both 1&2. Tried rbr no dice. Other 2 receivers in house are working fine. Weather is clear. HR22 hasn't been moved, touched disconnected etc. Worked fine earlier.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

How is that HR22 connected to your dish? Could be an intermittent coax connection?

You might try swapping this HR22 with one of your good DVRs. See if the problem follows the "bad" HR22 or not.

It is usually a failing switch or a failing switch in the LNBF. This can also be caused by too-long runs of RG-6, or by loss of shield integrity somewhere in that cable run (damage, poor connectorization aggravated by the elements, etc.). You can usually pin it down by swapping receivers, but maybe not definitively. Regardless, the fix may be a new switch, LNBF, or even a new receiver rather than the cable itself being the problem.
