I want to let you know I had major issues with this...After trying all the codes and prefixes and blah blah blah...I got the vonage setup from Directv directly...and it worked!!!

    Get Fax Line from Vonage
    Set Area Code to 212
    Set dialing Prefix to 12122773895
Set call waiting Prefix to *99,,*70,,#096

When it is done, select the dial in number you want (It is new york) and away you go!!! Man, so glad it finally worked, I hope this will help others!!:hurah:

    Dripping...
Send an e-mail to dslreports@vonage.com (that get's a bit quicker answer) and tell them. When I did that they made a change to the config of the MTA and it started to work. I was also calling a NJ number vs a local Chicago # which helped. It's still hit or miss though even with their assistance. Good luck.

While I know this isn't the forum for the question, I was considering getting Vonage....how do you like it?

Had Vonage for over 3 years now. $14 a month with long distance sure beats $70 a month any day of the week.
