I have an HR20-700 in my study and I'm feeding the composite out up to my dad's bedroom. He fell and hurt his back so he bedridden. I setup the RC34 for Rf operation and it works fine, that is the remote that is usually used with that box. I have several RC64s laying around so I tried to set one of them up but after I do all the programming, M&S 691, Vol. up, 926069 Sel. all I get is one flash on the remote not 2, and the receiver generates a "Thunk" error and nothing works.

I've tried doing a 681 to clear the remote and that does not help. Called D but they knew less abut this than I did. Downloaded the .pdf from D on the RC64 folloed the directions there and still the same problem. What am I doing wrong?

    Need your help!

    Bainbridge...
The RC64 is IR-only. The RC64R does both IR and RF.

The code to program the remote is 991 not 691. Reset is 981 not 681.

Also, make sure you have RC64R, as the RC64 is not RF.

Hmmm. Neither of my RC64s has an r after the number on the front top left. But then neither does the RC34 which works in RF mode. Too bad the receiver cant operate in both RF and IR mode at the same time. Hate to have to go out and buy another crappy remote, I really hate the D remotes. That's why I use Harmony everywhere else.
