Sitting here watching KFOR the sound just quit. This is getting old. My other stb's are hr24 no problems. I can hear it now in the living room.

Add another KFOR problem. Heard pops on it Tuesday night and has gone out 3 times since while tuned in to station. Looks like I will be avoiding that channel for awhile.

Having the same problem. Hear pops on KFOR and then losing audio on all channels. Reset will fix it but it's getting old. Going to avoid KFOR and see if still lose audio.

I have the same issue with both my HD receiver and my HD-DVR. I called DIRECTV and troubleshot with them. They acknowledged the problem is in this area and that they are working on the fix. Apparently they had a similar issue recently in another state.
I did a SENDREPORT from the HD-DVR per the DIRECTV technician.
As of this morning I still lose sounds.
However, on my HD-DVR if I set my preferences for the Guide to show SD channels I get sound on KFOR channel 4 SD, but not the HD channel.
Setting this same preference on the HD receiver did not fix the sound issue.
Currently, the only way to get the sound back is to reset either receiver.

Also, this first happened on Tues. night, Nov. 29, during the opening monologue on the Tonight show at about 10:35 - 10:40 or so.

Hopefully, Directv gets this fixed soon. It is extremely annoying to do a reset and wait 10 minutes for reboot, etc. to get sound back. Then sound only lasts for about 30 minutes. Then you have to reboot again.

Just out of curiosity, is there still a problem if you turn Dolby Digital off?

Well the problem is still here. After being on other channels first part of the day without problem. Tuned to KFOR turned off for a few hrs and no sound.

This has been driving my parents buggy since yesterday.

At first, only one of his HR receivers was doing it. Now all three. Everytime he called Directv, no one knew what was going on.

Today, they told him it was an issue in our area.

Funny thing is out of all of my family and friends, he is the only one having the problems. I live 3 miles from him and have not missed a beat whatsoever.

Two of our 3 receivers are exactly the same as well as two of our TVs.

No rhyme or reason why it is happening on some and not others.

He called them today and told them if it was not fixed before Saturday's bedlam game, they can come pick up there stuff

Looks like they are fixing it. KFOR hd is down currently

Edit: audio still has the "pop" on KFOR. Come on KFOR engineers.
