BTW, some HR20-700s only had 300GB hard drives.

It's in post #1 as I stated in my post you quoted.:)

That is correct. The TS didn't designate a manufacturer so I picked the size that seems to be most common. EDIT: OOPs missed his sig. Good catch jdspencer.

That's true; the HR20-700 originally only had 300GB drive. Some referbs may have a 320GB. IIRC, originally there were some HR20-100s that also had 300GB drives but most had 320GB.

To answer the OP, the HR20 will have an approximate capacity of 200hr of SD and 50hrs of HD. These are ballpark figures and YMMV. ;)

Further, the system uses/reserves approximately 100GB of that.

I haven't updated the following info in a while, so I hope it's still accurate.

    Code:

Model Manufacturer HDD(GB) OTA Color BBC Capacity
                                                         SD/HD
    HR20
           -700 300 Yes S Yes 200/50
           -100 300/320 Yes B/S Yes 200/50
    HR21
           -700 320 No B Yes 200/50
           -200 320 No B Yes 200/50
           -200Pro 500 No B Yes 400/100
           -100 320 No B Yes 200/50
    HR22
           -100 500 No B Yes 400/100
    HR23
           -700 500 No B No 400/100
    HR24
           -500 500 No B Yes 400/100

    Notes:
    1. BBC - The B-Band Converter are required in non-SWM configurations
with the exception of the HR23 which has Wide Band tuners.
    2. Colors: B-Black, S-Silver
    3. The HR21/HR22/HR23/HR24 require the AM21 to receive OTA.
    4. The HR20-100 needs an external antenna to operate in RF mode.
All other HR2x receivers currently manufactured have internal
        antennas.
    5. Recording capacity is in hours and is approximate. YMMV.

Slight correction, the HR24 is manufactured by Humax (-500).

You're right. I cut and pasted the HR23 line and forgot to change the seven to a five.
