20,000 CSRs? I doubt D* would even try to get them on the same page. I doubt that D* would even know how to get them on the same page.

I do keep getting the same CSRs time after time, but I only call the ACT or Retention or the PP.

20,000? If they each get paid $10 a day that's $200,000 a day or $1,000,000 for a five day work week that's going to the CSRs. That's a lot of BWI.

having had all of the HR2X boxes (except the HR24), i can say that the HR20-700 is still the fastest non HR-24 box out there (followed closely by the HR20-100). So much so that I would buy all HR20s if I could, they are so much faster.

Each account should, in theory, have only one instance of account information.

Smiddy has been breathing too much swamp gas!!! The HR20-700 may be incapable of 3D but that won't affect 95% of the market and please don't say that MRV doesn't work on it or all of us who use it for MRV will spend hours trying to figure out what we missed!

Did I say it wouldn't do MRV? I meant it is unsupported by DirecTV, not that it can't do it. :D You know though, you're sounding like those guys who are enamored with those HR10-250-ish, TiVo boxes, are they? :) I guess I'm just saying that the HR20-700's time is about over. It had a great run and to your point, is very usable yet.

What is senseless is asserting that multiple customer records exist with conflicting information.

Again, you completely missed the point in the post [of mine] you replied to, so you could make some pointless post.
"The point" was there are over 20,000 CSRs, not that the DirecTV Database could/would display different customer information.
Should you want to wander off in some obscure direction, don't use one of my posts to reply to, but instead post as a stand alone without reference.

So, to replace a HR20, you would need both an HR24 and AM-21 (to be fair) and that cost is anywhere from the cost of shipping around $15-ish to $300-ish depending on customer's standing with DirecTV and any other incentives, etcetera thrown in.

I'm confused. I thought that DIRECTV was doing "supported" MRV with HR's that don't have built in DECA by installing external DECA adapters, so why would having an HR20-700 limit one to unsupported MRV?

I get the feeling this all spiraled out from the H20 not being able to MRV because of the lack of a network port.

LOL well they sure didn't have that many this morning. I called to straighten out some things on my new upgrade bill. Spent 10 min or so on hold to get the CSR. Then when she couldn't help she put me on hold for a super and kept me company on the phone for 1.5 hrs while we waited for the lone supervisor to be free. In my case the super was able to take care of things and gave me a $100 credit to fix things and to make up for waiting so long. She said a bunch of supervisors called in sick today. To me that came out to DTV paying me about a $1 a minute to sit on hold....good pay these days hehe.

I de-activated a second HR20-700 last week, and the CSR said this one was leased. Got the return box yesterday, and Fedex'd it back to Directv. My first HR20-700 back in 2006 died after 3 months, and I think when Directv sent the replacement HR20-700, it was changed to "owned" status.

    :)
