Ok, swapped my HR21-100 into my HR20-700 spot. Using the same cables, but put on the new BBCs. I get to the "Receiving satellite info" screen and it just sits at 0%. Then, it switches to a grey screen with the info bar at the bottom that says "Aquiring guide data..." with a "More info" option. I select more info and it says that if it's sitting there for more than 2 minutes, do an RBR.

I've RBR'd once... and now I'm at the same screen again.

I have my network cable connected.
    I am using HDMI.

EDIT: WOW! I finally hit 500 posts. I've been here since before the HR20-700 was released to the public and I've only now hit 500.

Try a full power-down (unplug)....then wait 5 minutes, then plug in.

That will force a full cycle that includes trying to read all the satellite settings, maybe it will pick up what it needs that way...

OK, so I unplugged the network cable and now my satellite info is coming down. The progress bar is moving through the percentages where before it was stuck at 0%.

Is the network port enabled on this box?

I was getting a 771 error for a couple minutes but that has gone away now.
Signal strengths seem lower than I get on the HR20, I'll do more of a comparison tomorrow.
Temp was 100 deg F after being on less than 10 min (my HR20-100 is usually 99 and sometimes breaks 100)
I've snapped a bunch of pics, need to get them off the camera and I'll upload later or tomorrow
I agree with whoever said the blue LEDs on black look awesome!

May have spoke too soon... stopped at 25% and then went to the grey aquiring guide data screen again. Ugh!

Perhaps....typically yes, but maybe because its so new....not yet.

In any case, you may have uncovered a hiccup that now allows you to get the full startup cycle done - that would be great.

If it hangs...try a reboot without the net cable plugged in...

I finally got home and no box on the porch :( I wasn't really expecting it as I requested it be sent to my work and I knew by noon that didn't happen :( I did talk to the guys in receiving and some other shipments got held up in Memphis so that might be what happened to everybody, FedEx had some problems. What stinks is we are closed Monday so I wont see it until Wednesday at the earliest. Oh well, I guess I have more time for the CEs tonight...

I see yours stuck at 25% too, how did you get past that? Did you just let it sit? Or did you do something else that got you past it?

Yes. I have everything but DOD and Caller ID. (I think there may be an issue with my phone jack...doesn't seem to sit well.)

The box says the network is there and my router see it but I never set up media share, so I am not working on that.

But all my channels are coming in fine.

It took about 10- 15 minutes and completed but then that aquiring guide banner came up and it will not go away no matter what I do, rbr included...

I just switched the BBCs to the HR20's and got stuck yet again. This time however, I started getting a grey screen that said it was searching for sats on tuners 1 & 2. I had no problems on my HR20 tuners before turning it off tonight. I have not yet hooked the HR20 up in my other room yet.

I did not read all the prior posts, been away since about 6:00 pm, is your receiver on your account? I assume it is and that's probably the difference.

Did you actually see the progress bar hit 100%? I haven't seen that happen, but after only a few minutes, mine will flip to the aquiring guide data banner screen.

Yes. It was on before I got it. Yesterday, actually.

But not being active shouldn't stop it from loading up. It would just say that nothing is subscribed.
